Hello all,
I have been trying to upload some new items and when I hit the upload all button it stalls for a bit and then I get and popup stating wrong username or password. I have not changed anything. I did go into preferrence and re type usermane and password but same thing happened. Any ideas?
Thanks

We have found that there are sometimes issues installing, when the setup (installer package) is executed for install. Please uninstall the version you have now, then reinstall by executing the setup (application) file that shows a picture of a box with a CD in front of it. We understand that our current setup can be confusing, and we will be changing in the near future. Please let us know how things go for you.
Hi tinn,
above is a response from Admin that I copied and pasted here, on the problem with logging in for uploads.

Tinman,
First do a back-up of your work, that will save it. Then you can do an unistall, and reinstall of WAM. Once you have set your preferences and downloaded the Master File, then you can restore your files from back-up and you will be all set to upload to Webidz.
Just a tip, when I download a new version of WAM, after installing and setting it up, I always list a couple new items and upload just as a test, before I loose all my work. Also some members have found that uploading in bundles of about 15 - 25 works better than trying to upload the whole lot.
Once you have uploaded all your listings, it is a good idea to download all your auctions from Webidz to WAM, then do a back-up of everything you have listed. It is best to do this before you have added anymore to WAM. You will need to delete all that you have in WAM, then do the download, then do a back-up of that WAM. Now you have a back-up of all your current listings. This is just a precautionary measure, but one never knows what might happen.
Hope this helps you out.
Bidding you great success,
Roz

Thanks Roz for the more detailed info......another tip.....I backup my listings to my desktop....that way they are visible and easy to find instead of having to remember what folder I put them in.
To back up your work that you have in WAM right now, upper left hand corner click file then go down to backup auctions....then choose where you want your backup to go to and name it.......then you can do the uninstall reinstall.

The issue with the install was actually fixed a few versions ago, so it should not matter which setup file is executed now.
If there is a prolonged period of innactivity, the auction manager will break the connection. So if you are spending a good deal of time creating auctions, then trying to upload, you could get this error message. We recommend closing the application, then restarting and attempting to upload.
Another cause of such issues is faulty installs, caused by installing while the contents are still zipped. If you did not perform "unzip" or "extract contents" after you downloaded, this is most likely your issue. You would need to uninstall, then reinstall after the contents are extracted from the zip file.
