Does your error log contain these errors you are receiving? If so, can you forward your error log to admin @ webidz.com? I have no idea what would cause this, and will need to forward to our programmers to investigate.

Hi John,

I am getting the same messages, have no clue why. I get them on modified listing, and new listings. I don't know how to find the error log, so can not send mine. Tried to do a copy/paste of the actual erroe box but can not copy it.

I am using version 2.3.6.58 with updates on Window XP os.

You are not the only one that is getting this message, I have even downloaded the most recent updote, and still get it.

It seems to do it more when i copy a item to make another one of the same auction! I do that modifie it for differant cat and when i send it from mod to upload i go to up load and that is the message i get!

Was this error message while uploading using WAM? The reason I ask is that I uplaoded four items this afternoon using WAM and had no error messages, all went smoothly. FYI

When i was going to upload! But some items worked after! Then some didn't and these our just the same auctions we had in there but i duplicate them!

I get it sometimes when I create new listings, then when they move to the upload tab is when it happens. Sometimes I don't get it. You can click the x on the error and it will still upload the listings, but when you move back to the first tab to create more, another box comes up and I just click quit and have to reopen wam, figured it was my comp doing it since no one else had reported anything.

I click the red x (upper right) on the boxes and after about 4-5 times while in upload and they go away, and I can upload. It's when I switch back to create more that I have to shut wam down.
I just did the update last week, and the previous version did it too. That's why I thought it was just my comp, cause no one else was reporting problems.

I also checked my listings after upload to make sure they were not messed up, and they look fine.
It doesn't do it everytime, but more times than not.

I did not have this issue until I downloaded my listings from Webidz to WAM. I had used the version of WAM without the last update just fine, then I downloaded my listings from Webidz, and that is when I started getting the error messages. So then I got the update, still getting error messages.

I just Edited 2 items and it did it on them too! I must have clicked the Red X 30 times before it would let me download them to the site!

Just tried it, and got a bunch of the error messages, although once I get rid of them, I seem to be good to go for the rest of the session. Usually only happens once, until I close WAM.

So will continue to work that way, until this problem is addressed and corrected.

I am thinking that there is an issue that is auction specific, as I have not been able to duplicate any of the reported issues. I know there is a current bug with auctions that are listed from the site, then downloaded to wam (not carying auto relist info). So possibly this is associated somehow. I have passed the specific errors reported on to our programmers, so this should help them find and resolve the issue(s).

Boss, it does it when listing new auctions in WAM also........the problem is happening when you send your new listings into the upload tab. It doesn't do it all the time....but more times than not.

I edited a 109 last night and all i changed in them is the relist number from say 89 to 1 and i had to click the error box at least 30 times to get it to go off to upload them to the site!

Admin Still no pic's! But did not get any errors this time!
I did everything there is to do on my end and i got alot of Editing to do and can't as it won't send the PIC"S to the site! I puy a all new Wam in! Nothing! So i figured maybe my backup file was corupt, so i upated inventory from the site last night as it takes over 6 hours to do! I tried to edit 3 items today and No Pic's again!
I'm so far behind here now i don't know what to do as all my cycles,scooters,atv,go carts.phones,games all need to be edited as prices changed!
This pic problem is the same as you had about a year ago!

I cannot figure it out either, as we are also able to upload, download, etc. I have forwarded the latest info you provided, to our programmers.

Did you receive the no connection error with the newest version? Have you tried installing the newest version from scratch, or did you just try updating from a previous version? I know there were some image changes from the last version, along with other structural changes... So if you are using an old database file on the new version, this may account for the image issues.

Admin! Here is what the Error message box says! I have redid WAM from Scratch 4 times now! Downloaded new inventory! I have tried the new version 2.3.6.58 and the oler one before this! Now this last 2 times i tryed it i have to shut Wam down and restart it to get the Error boxes off!

Just a suggestion but try using the image url of the product - if you have it listed on your personal web store. That's what I do and my images *seem* to be working. *crossing fingers*

See i'm just doing edit no new items! The pic link is in my wam but won't go to site and i guess i'm the only one it's doing it too! This pic problem happen about a year ago but it was everyone! Funny deal because i did everything from scratch many times!

The pic link is allready in the item when i edit and the link points to webidz pic host! So i tryed a new pic from my pc and still nothing! The ul is in wam, but gets to site and it's empty and they were all on there before i edit! I'm trying a ul from photobucket now! If you see my error report it said can't hook to target so it must be admin system it can't hook too!

Whats wierd it is only mine that is doing the no pic's! Kat & Ros there pic's work but they get the error message too!

You know what a guy said to me today is that alot of these problems are that the sights are trying to get Vista to work in there system and when they get 1 thing for Vista fixed something goes wrong for windows!

It may be that you are the only one speaking up and others don't know to come here and say something about the pictures or the WAM.

I use my own hosting instead of photobucket because photobucket sometimes has problems. That's the only reason I suggested using the images from your store.

Nope, I still can't import a csv file. I'm doing Christmas items for my main store because I need to do some new feeds, so I'll have to come back around to WeBidz. That will give the chief time to work on the issues.

I wouldn't be surprised about the Vista issues. I'm keeping my machines patched up to XP as long as possible!! No Vista on my crew! :rolleyes:

I'm not sure why John's pics were not working, I copy my pics to a folder onto the computer and then when I create a listing, I pull them from that folder. My pics are uploading fine, at first John was only getting the error code, then his pics were not showing.
I am still getting the error code (off and on) but when I finally get all the error code boxes to go away, the listings upload just fine. Pics and all.
I run vista on this comp, but I think Roz runs XP and not having problems with pics.

I have allways did it the same way Kat does! But the funny thing of it the pic's are allready in there from when i listed them new auctions and now when i edit one it will not send the pic! I'm just curious how many new sellers that just started and loaded WAM the last 4 days have checked to see if there listing has a pic on the site!

I also keep the pictures in a separate folder for uploading to sites. I've done it both ways and in fact, some of my listings have pictures uploaded from my computer and some are hosted from my store.

The ones I did today are hosted from my store though.

That's what I meant above, if new folks are listing and they look at their listings and see no pics, they might think they made a mistake and just fix the pictures on site. Large listers would be the ones to speak up. heh...:D

I host my PSU Store (the boutique shop online) with Powersellers Unite. REAL good deal at 9.99 a month for everything we get. I'm so happy with it, I won't move my store. LOL

Also have a reseller account at Hostgator and it's the best thing I ever did. I have all the rest of my sites hosted there. Great support 24/7, phone or email and they've always been GOOD. They even contacted ME when they found a problem with one of my customer's account. I have the smallest reseller account at 24.95/month. Never had ANY downtime on any of my sites.

Just to be clear about what I meant by hosting the pictures for my listings myself. Since I/we list items that we also sell on our sites, I use the same image that I already uploaded to my store. I just copy the image url and use that. I have them all saved in a inventory spreadsheet.

I can't swear I did it that time, but what I usually do is use the image url from my store image in the WAM to upload to WeBidz (or any other site).

It can increase your bandwidth, but so far, I haven't had any issues and I do alot of promotion of my feeds.

am I making sense? I swear I'm not blonde. :D

YEP! Know what you mean! I also use the same pic like you do! 1 pic file for 13 stores & sites! Never had any problem till now and just on wam! When my hard drive went a week or so ago i thought i had all my pic's on disk! I even marked the disk mj pic's! Put the new drive in put the disk in! Guess what Empty! Was i mad!

Ahhh...ok. Just making sure. I don't like uploading pics from hard drive when I can avoid it now cuz it slows down the uploads. Using the image url links just goes faster that way and fewer problems, seems like anyways.

I can't wait till August is over! Nothing but headaches this month! About a 1 1/2 weeks or so ago we had 3 Chargebacks dating on items that were bought in June for total of $4865.00! Paypal helped fight for them and we got 2 out of 3 settled in my favor allready! The 3rd one still dealing with was a cell phone the gal used it for almost 7 weeks and it quit so she did a chargeback! All stated in our terms (no returns on cell phones unless DOA, consult factory warrenty)
Then my Hard drive goes out 2 weeks ago and now foor 4 days this pic deal!

I use .csv files in Excel at times, but as I am familiar with them in this application not with WAM. The best suggestion I can make is to make sure the columns match. That’s where I have always had issues. Barring any code problems. Sorry I can’t help more.

What type of auctions are you uploading that are missing pics? (new or edited)

Have you checked the picture path in the listing? To be sure the file path is valid.

They are both, new and modified. I listed some ***SPECIAL*** auctions along with my edits. Pics came up missing in both, but are still in WAM. I just checked them and they are there just like I put them in, originally.

Sorry for being a pain in the rump. BTW, raised Navy, thank you for your years of service.

What I meant was, have you looked at the picture path in your auction, then checked that path to see if the image is still at that location.

I really enjoyed my time in the Navy, but never had to deal with any of the wars or conflicts that our current military has to deal with. I have great respect for our men and women in the military, regardless of anyones views on the war. Whether we should be involved or not does not matter, as these people are simply doing what they are told, and risking their lives in doing so.

She does not live in Italy any more... The Orion was decommissioned in 1993 and sent to Fort Eustis, Va, to be disposed of. So is most likely not with us any more.

I hope your month starts going better. Oil keeps going down, so that is one positive.

I am doing some tests right now to see if I can repeat the missing pics. They seem to be coming through, so I am guessing that John is alone in this one. Sorry Buddy, was hoping to get WAM to drop the pics so we could figure this out. Only listing without the image is the Webex Points one for 6 pack. :D Don't know what to say now.

I did still get the pages of error messages, had to click through them to get to upload screen.

I'm doing some testing too on the pics, now that I got my new file in. :D *whew* what a relief! Now we gotta figure out mj's problem. We leave no man behind!

I did two using image urls and they went through with images showing on the site. I did get all those errors that I had to click past to get to the upload page also. Boy, that's scary! :eek:

I only get the error messages the first time I click on "waiting for upload" after opening WAM from my desktop. I get no other messages for the rest of that session. That is why I usually don't close WAM until I am going to shut down my PC.

Do you know how to view error log for the auction manager? If you navigate to the install directory of wam, which is usually C:\program files\webidz auction manager\, and the file name will be error_log.txt. If you could copy the contents into a post, or email to admin@webidz.com, this would be appreciated.

We have a new release that we are currently testing, and will be releasing within the next 24-48 hours. There are misc changes, which I have detailed some below...

* Automatic image resize for images that are too large or formatted incorrectly
* Bug fix for moving item status to closed
* Bug fix for auto relist entries
* FTP changes
* Change program to not download images if already present in local files (will reduce update inventory process)
* Bug fix for error messages when changing to upload screen

Due to the nature of some of these changes, we will not be providing auto update from previous versions. So members that want this version will need to do a fresh install.

Actually externally hosted images and images from your pc are handled differently. So it is feasable for externally hosted images to work, while images on your pc to not work. We have not been able to duplicate your reported issue yet, but we are looking ino it. We are trying to get the newest version ready for release today, and you can see if this resolves your issue... as this new release does have changes regarding the way images are handled.

There has been work on this within the last couple versions, so I am glad you have seen improvemens. There will be future work to enhance this even further... but trying to take things on a priority basis.
