I accepted a Buy Now for Auction ID: 1781694 (http://www.webidz.com/auction_details.php?auction_id=1781694) Seller namni. As a aparent new seller there was no meaningful feedback. One only feed back for this seller is Negative, but we all know that sometimes getting off the ground as a Seller there can be bumps in the road. There is no way to find out if the negative feed back was resolved.
I recently had a very bad experience with an eBay seller that kept shipping broken units back to me and because of the way he explained things he managed to keep me working with him until the deadline to file against him with eBay or PayPal expired. So no way to recover what I paid. Ended up having to report the Seller to IC3.gov and the attorney General of the state he lives in. Doubt its giong to do any good but its all I can do. So if you ever come across a company called twiisted_mods on another auction site Beware.
What has me worried this Auction and Seller only accepts Postal Money Orders. I have done a number of searches, but can't find any additional information about them. I am considering asking them to open a PayPal account to received the payment. Just a personal one its free to set up but it would afford me some protection if it is a scam. The Buy Out price just seems too good to be true.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you.

What sounds too good to be true usually is. I wouldn't buy from that seller unless I've communicated THOROUGHLY with them. I'm rather doubtful that they will agree to open a paypal account.
Be very careful with sellers who only accept money orders. Sorry, but has to be said.

Sylvia is correct in the communication with the seller. That would tell you alot about if it is a scam or not. But this should have been done prior to bidding/buying.
Only the Admin would know if there was ever a complaint filed from the previous buyer and if that complaint was resolved.
Now you in the position of being commited to the purchase, and once again, Sylvia is right, what sounds too good to be true usually is. I'm thinkin the only thing you can do is pay, and pray. And if you don't get your item, definately turn in a ticket to the help desk.

In briefly looking into this auction, it does not look good. There is only one feedback (negative) for non receipt. This person is selling new and almost new xboxes for $100? Usually the only valid reason for selling at below cost would be to build feedback, which does not appear to be the case here. Paying with money orders or check provides absolutely no protections for buyers. I personally would not proceed with the transaction, and recommend not bidding on items that only accept checks & money orders, and the seller has limited or no feedback.
We do not reveal in public if there has been any complaints against a specific member, but we will look into this members account.

I'm sorry guys but i do have to say something as a seller!~ A buyer responsiblity is to read and ask questions before they bid or buy!! Alot of sellers out there do not or can not do paypal or google ect because they don't have c-cards or whatever or had a bad experiance with those company's! I myself will not bid or buy from someone that has a neg feedback like that! And when the price is only a fraction of regular price! I can't touch those xboxes wholesale for that price! Add on a few hundred more then i can!
My opinion is to contact the seller and talk to them about canceling your order!
Need to fair both ways!

It ended up being a fraud. I tried to contact the seller but I guess they got scared and disappeared so didn't loose anything. I am new to Webidz and I will say that not having a listed return/exchange/refund policy stated somewhere in the auction makes me very nervous. Its one of the main points that I have only bought on eBay in the past. However even having the return policy stated problems can still come up if the Seller is not honest.

Morning takhen, glad that you didn't loose anything on this one.
And yes, we should all as buyers always read the whole listing, including shipping/return/exchange policies. But even with honest sellers, buyers want to push the limits for not reading policies, and then wanting money back or whatever. So it does work both ways.
But like you stated in your OP, even ebay has the bad sellers, and bad buyers. So they are everywhere you go, even in walk in lives stores. It's a chance we all take as buyers and sellers when we purchase or sell.
As sellers we have to be clear on our TOS and as buyers we have to read read and oh ya, read some more.
Hope you have a great weekend.

We have our terms listed on each Auction!
But Buyers remember if you buy from a online store the terms are not listed on each item as there are specific pages you can click on to see them at the sellers store! Alot of store host does not allow us sellers to put terms on each item so they supply a separate page to do it on!

Need to fair both ways!Completely AGREE! Read all info, if in doubt ask question's. As other's have said: " If it sounds to good to be true, it isn't". Remember: There's always more than one seller, where you can locate the item, you are looking for. So, no need to jump on, the first one you see. Check out other seller's , selling the same item. Compare! And again, always read the info, and ask question's? If it sounds like a scam, the general finding's are ( It Is!). Be careful, be safe. Above all take all measures to protect yourself first. Having done your homework/research, and still scammed, please be sure to report the scam, in that way , we all help to keep the Internet just a bit more safe. JMHO.
