Dear WeBidz admin and all,

I'm trying to list an auction using html code copied and pasted over from Microsoft Frontpage.

However, the intented layout and tables are not following according to what I did on frontpage. Anyone can help?

I am not sure exactly what is displaying incorrectly, but I initially see a few problems that may cause issues with your html. html, head, meta and body tags will automatically be stripped from your code... as these are designated by our page layout.

After removing these tags, please do a test auction and let us know where the layout issues are. We will then do our best to assist you.

Hi,

sorry if I sound demanding but can you guys remove the limitations placed by your own page layout?

Erm, because I have no html issues with Ebay listings, whatever I wrote on frontpage is listed exactly on my Ebay listings. I tried 3 sleepless nights trying to resolve html issues.

I noticed the main problems are:


Font colours not displaying as intended
Incorrect table size and layout
Incorrect font size

I'm really interested in making Webidz my new homebase. It would be godsend if such issues can be resolved.

description box, or clicking the <> on the top (right) and opening the code box, and hitting
CTRL V to enter your code. I had the same thing happen to me at several sites using the same
code we do here, because I did NOT know..Like I said a stupid question probably. Admin will

Hi Lana and all,

I did these steps:

wrote the html on Microsoft Frontpage 2002

On frontpage, I click on the html tab, copied the entire code

Go to webidz, under step 3 "item details"

clicking the <> on the top (right)

In the "view/edit source" window with "wrap text" checkbox checked, hitted <ctrl+V> pasted the code from Frontpage

If anyone can provide any info or solutions that would be the best. Currently I have manually correct them myself in the description box at present.

I would also appreciate if I can preview them as I edit the listing. (Sorry, I miss out this feature button if its in the toolbar, I got bad myopia )

This would not be something that we could simply change, as this is coded into the overall fuctionality of the site pages. It is something we could look into for future development though.

I know you specified backround and font colors in the "body" tag, which are removed when listing. So this is most likely where those issues come from. Possibly moving these to a "table" tag would resolve this. I am not sure why your table size and layout would change... Do you have a couple auctions you could give us to compare, and look at the code? One that is displaying properly, and one that is incorrect would be great. Then maybe we can look into this and figure out the issue, and possibly provide a resolution.
