What in the world is a Yahoo Slurp Spider??? When you click on the link to see what each member is doing alot of them say Yahoo Slurp Spider and google something or other???

Where are you seeing these? Are these being shown under the who's online section? We get crawled by various search engines multiple times daily, but they should not show in the stats.

I remember doing a welcome post to that name, but just went back to all the posts that I have done, and could not find it. Seems like it was not that long ago.

They are listed under the current active user link next to how many are online at that time. If they are searching cool. Just didnt know what it was.:)

I checked into these settings and evidently we did have it set to show the search engine visits. We all know that they frequently visit, but it should not be showing in the stats... so I have changed this. This does not mean that they will not visit now, it just means they will not be displayed in the who's online stats. Sometimes there are quite a few crawling at the same time, which could be confusing when trying to view this section.
