Depends on what you are wanting to contact them for. If it is a question on a listing they are running, then it's best to ask it through the listing itself.

In the community, yes you can just send them a PM.

To contact another member, if it is about an auction, you can message through the auction, "ask seller a question". If not then you can just do a private message.

No if it did carry over Id still be riding my kitty with a bridle only to find the wife who escaped my pasture when I was in the garden cause I was too dumb not to put up a fance around the invisible barn where I kep my not so invisible manure (which I dunno where it came from cause there were no animals on there). And TNT had a hole in his buckett :D
