Missing descriptions and other information using WAM

I imported items to WAM from CSV files. After the import, I checked the description and other information, such as category, shipping cost, insurance, to make sure they are all there. However, the country, state, and zip code are missing and shown blank fields, even though I entered the default values in my preferences.

I tried to upload the items to webidz, the software said upload failed and none of the items showed up on the site. I tried to edit the location (state, country, and zip code) and uploaded again. The upload succeeded.

When I checked the listing on webidz, description didn't showed correctly. I tried to edit the item and below is what I found: the description was commented out.

It sounds like it may have been a faulty import, possibly a mismatching of your columns to the auction managers columns. Can you send us the csv/excel import you used to admin@webidz.com, so we can look into this further.

If you could also "export to excel" from the file menu, then provide to us also. This could possibly help us determine where the import issue occured.

We have taken a look at you csv file, and have found the issues causing this. Your csv sheet if delimited by a "|". When you select the csv file, you will need to choose a format of "custom delimited" from the drop down menu, then enter "|" as the delimiter. You also have some of the delimiters missing... most I believe are after keyword4 (your last entry). We only took a portion of your file to test (about 50 of the first items). Once we fixed these two issues, we were able to successfully import these.

I followed your instruction above and still cannot upload our products.

Bellow are the steps:
- Import CSV file
- Match column names to the appropriate fields
- Set all other fields to "Use Default Settings"
- Set the duration to "1 week" when asked
- Wait until the import is completed
- Highlight and move the items to upload
- Upload all
- All upload failed.

We sent you a new csv file we use for upload. Could you please take a look again? Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

This sounds like an easy fix... Our program times out after a certain amount of inactivity. So most likely it timed out while you were performing your import. I am assuming you received a connect/upload error. If so, you should just close the program then open again. Now perform your uploads, and all should work.

We will be looking for a method of having the program re-connect automatically in the near future, so members will not have to close and open the program to regain connection.
