I am new to this site and I am having problems uploading my pictures. Right now they are about 700KB and they need to be under 200KB. How is the best way to reduce the size. I don't want to open a store until I get this right. This site is a little harder to navigate than I am used to and I want to bring my items from Ebay to here, Thanks for any advice.

You may want to adjust your output settings for your camera, or just resize the images. If you do not have image editing software, I have placed a link below to a free tool that will enable you to easily and quickly resize images.

We are looking into implementing something directly into the auction manager program, which will automatically resize images to make them compliant with site specs. But do not have any automated system as of yet.

Welcome to Webidz, I remembered seeing this same question asked over in the blogs, so did a copy and paste of the Admin's answer. I am sure that Admin will be along shortly to give you more help if you need it.

Hope that this helps.

Another free service is:
http://www.photobucket.com
you can host your pics there free and they have a simple tool that will resize
and crop, but won't do much of the actual editing. I have used paint shop pro for that
for many years.
