I have read all about web x points yet I do not see where it tells how many you have. WHAT GOOD ARE THEY????? This seems to be a complete mystery.

I was also wondering how long have people been waiting to get a sale on this site? I now have over 200 listings and been here for almost a month. No sales yet. I was hoping to change over to this site from eBay but am still in the trial stage I guess. Does anyone sell anything here. I see a list on the home page but it does not have too many new items every time I look at it. The prices I have on items here are even lower than the price on eBay that I sell them for.

Anyone have anything to offer on these subjects?

First hi and welcome to WeBidz, we are glad that you have wandered back to the community.

First you can find out how many points you have by just looking in the upper right corner of this page. Just below the red bar, it will say "Welcome, Wakeman" it tells you when you last visited, If you have any unread private messages and how many WeBex Points you have.

You asked what you can do with them, you can participate in the WeBex Auctions, you can find them in the list of categories on the left of any page on the site except here in the community, WeBex Point Auctions. Yes there have been some cool things listed. Personally I have won an MP3 Player, a ladies leather jacket, the cool banner that is in my signature, and some other items that I was interested in having. Here is a link to the WeBex Point Auctions http://www.webidz.com/categories.php?parent_id=10688

Now to answer your question about sales, I waited quite a while for my first sale, but others have not. One member recently had his first sale within less than a day of starting to list here. I guess it depends on how you market your listings, and if anyone is interested in what you have for sale.

I see that you have some sports posters, I may be interested in one, but right now money is tight for us. You know the economy and all. So for me $5 plus shipping for a poster that probably will never see a wall is not in my budget. But for someone else, it very well could be. You just never know.

Have you started letting your previous customers know that you have opened a store here? Have you advertised at all? Here is a link to a post with many tips for promoting your WeBidz Store and listings.

If you have anymore questions or need any help please feel free to ask.

Bidding you great success,
Roz

Hello Wackman,

My experience is that sales are down everywhere. January and February were way down for me from those months last year. I attribute it to the time of year, but mostly people are really watching their money right now. Keep promoting your store to customers. Use Roz's tips. Also, because there are no fees here, consider passing those savings along to customers by pricing your items lower than you do on 'that other site'. Let your customers know that your prices are lower here to bring them over. Include an ad for WeBidz and your store with every package you send out. If you have repeat customers, email them specifically about WeBidz. If they like your items, they will probably be willing to follow you here to save on their next purchase. Let those people who don't care for PayPal know that there are a lot of payment options here. Hang in and don't give up. Promote, promote, promote. ;)

P.S. Roz - good tips and links. Very helpful :D
