Just sign up with this site and I read where I can bring my feedback from ebay but don't see anything in here about how to do it. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks

Hi there Vulcan and a warm welcome to WEBIDZ!!:D
Yes, you can..Many of us are using a program called repatoo and
its' creator is often in here to speak with us. I am now using it at
three alternate sites and am very pleased with it.
Let me get you some links, and if you need help, Pete will be along
here from time to time. (it is VERY easy to set up!)
BRB and thanks again for joining us!!

Hi again Vulcan,
If you click my store button below, you will see I have it right on my store page.
The link to the beta is:
http://beta.repatoo.com/

I see it doesn't put your feedback beside your name , they have to click on that link to see it. That will work...lol
Thanks I will do that.

I kinda like it especially for that reason..so if GREEDbay, ever gets nasty (and they will, and have)
they can not say WE displayed 'their feedback' hahaha on our sites. We have discussed that issue
a lot at POWER SELLERS UNITE.

I was planning on closing my ebay account but I guess I can leave it open to use the feedback...hehe

Thanks Lana... what would I do without you there to answer for me??? ;)
Vulcan: I can answer any questions that weren't already answered for you, although she did a prettu good job.
I would also like to thank the WeBidz admin for bringing to my attention that the dynamic badges were not displaying properly in some places on the site. For security reasons, and rightly so, WeBidz strips out dynamic code prior to publishing posts. I have changed the way that the badges are created so that they now use a normal, static name for the image file. For those of you who were asking about this or having trouble, you can sign back into your Repatoo account and get the new and improved HTML code snippet to insert into your listings and signature.
For those of you who are wondering how to insert this into your forum signature, you would do something similar to this (but using the URL and image that the Repatoo system generated for you):
http://beta.repatoo.com/images/badge1/11.png (http://beta.repatoo.com/?action=lookup&user=1409975)
Again, fire away if you have questions :)

Okay Pete,
What did I do wrong???
repatoo
02-08-2008, 02:40 PM
:D
The forum does not accept straight HTML in your signature (admin, correct me if I am wrong)
Take a look at the post above yours and use the format in the "HTML Code:" box... but, you would obviously want your code in their instead of the demo code.

html code box where???
on the edit signature page ???
also where can you enter the code for the store like lana has hers??
repatoo
02-08-2008, 02:55 PM
Forums like this often use something called "BBCode", which is kind of a subset of HTML.
So, when creating your signature you would need to use something like this:
http://beta.repatoo.com/images/badge1/11.png (http://beta.repatoo.com/?action=lookup&user=1409975)
As far as in your store, I think you can put the straight HTML just as it was created on the Repatoo site... but Lana might be able to better answer that one :)

okay my code doesnt quite look like your sample.................<a href='http://beta.repatoo.com/?action=lookup&user=1412622' target='_blank'><img src='http://beta.repatoo.com/images/repatoo_display_1.gif' style='border: 0px;' title='view my Repatoo profile'/></a>
what is the <a href compared to the [url=
hope that makes sense
repatoo
02-08-2008, 03:03 PM
Sure it makes sense. :)
Those are the subtle differences between actual HTML and BBCode. We don't generate BBCode b/c it is not a universally accepted standard, whereas HTML is (but maybe we should since a few people have asked similar questions to yours)
So, in your signature you would have this:
http://beta.repatoo.com/images/repatoo_display_1.gif (http://beta.repatoo.com/?action=lookup&user=1412622)
Give that a whirl and let me know if it works.

AAAAAHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAH TY TY TY TY Pete.
As you can see that worked.
And the clickability is there also.
Was able to paste that right under my Webidz banner in the signature.
Thanks so much,
Kat

Pete,
Thanks for helping out. Yes, you are correct about html not being allowed in forum signatures. It would be BBCode just as you have entered.

Okay bossman (Admin) I know your lurking around somewhere,
Please help with putting the repatoo banner on the store main page (like Lana has)
I have copied and pasted both sets of codes (the one generated with repatoo on their site) and the one that Pete posted 4 posts up.
Both show up as text only after the save.
What is the meta text box under the main store description???
Can the repatoo banner be put in the main store description box??
I tried it in the url box and it said picture was broken??
Sorry for being a pest,
Kat

Hey Kat:
I'll answer for the admin since I am here. This is actually from a post he had made earlier:
"Are you trying to add the repatoo banner to your auctions? If so, you are entering html, and you would need to enter this data on the html page... Instructions: Click the "view/edit source" button in the html editor, which looks like this "<>". Now copy and past your html onto that screen. Click the "apply" button, then click the "ok" button. Your banner should show on that page now."
Oh, and you will use the actual HTML generate on the repatoo site.
Feel free to ask me if you need more help... :)

Nope not entering it into the auctions.
Trying to put it on the store main page.
Click on Lanas store banner and you will see what I mean.
Thanks Pete.

katandron1
02-08-2008, 04:50 PM
Home look under the wam forum find the link in general discussions about link to store from uncle........there you will find the answer to the store banner. copy the second code.........at the top of your page under the red bar you will see a blue bar........click on user cp......to the left of that screen you will see edit signature......click on that........paste the code there. Remove what you have first. then paste and take out uncles name (at the end of the first line of the code) and type in your user name and save.
the banner will automatically start showing in posts when you save your signature after adding the banner.

Hi Kat:
I'm pretty sure (but not positive) that the directions are the same. From "MyStore" click on "Main Settings", in the tool bar above the "Store Description" entry field, at the far right, there is a button that has <> on it and if you hover over it, it will say "View/Edit Source"
Click this and it will let you directly edit the HTML source. This is where you would paste in the HTML code from the Repatoo site.
Hope this helps!

Kathy,
We have added your repatoo badge to your store page.
How we completed:
Clicked the Store>>Main Settings buttons in the members area. Clicked the "<>" on the html editor for the description. Pasted the below code into the bottom of the page, then clicked the "apply" button, then the "ok" button. Then scrolled down to the bottom of the page and clicked the "proceed" button to save the changes.
<a href="http://beta.repatoo.com/?action=lookup&user=1412622" target="_blank">
<img title="view my Repatoo profile" style="BORDER-RIGHT: 0px; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px"

Thanks very much Admin and Pete,
We have had a busy weekend around here and I'm just now getting back on the comp.
We have a new addition to our family, (animal family), My mare had her foal at 1am this mornin, so I was up most all night.
I did't know that the <> was for html so thanks for the lesson.
This post may need to be bumped quite often by you guys to keep the lesson that Admin posted fresh for others.

I created my badge on repatoo, but somehow, I think i did something wrong. Could someone with knowledge please help me get it right? I clicked on the box and when the repatoo window opened, it allowed access to my account info at repatoo and I sure don't want that, just my ebay feedback rating.

02-16-2008, 09:08 PM
Hi piazza:
I am not entirely sure what you are seeing... but my guess is that the reason that you have access to your account info is because you are still logged into the Repatoo site. Click on the "logout" link to make sure that you are not logged in and then try accessing your feedback again. I can assure you that no one can access your account info without having your username and password.
piazzapizza
02-16-2008, 09:14 PM
OK. But I have to login to create the link. It gives me a code to copy and paste into my website or page or signature. I copy it. Then I paste it into my store main settings like the othread says. Then when I go to my store, and click on the link, the subwindow shows my email, has the my account tab etc. At what point do I logout of repatoo, before I create the link or after?

1509 what does
this mean?
(99.8% positive)
username: lt565pluto
Recent Feedback Ratings (last 12 months)
1 month 6 months 12 months Total
Positive 70 338 638 2512
Neutral 0 0 0 2
Negative 0 0 0 3
click here to see feedback details
This is what I want to see in each of my listings on WeBidz, but of course, in the nice box with the ebay logo and repatoo logo etc.
repatoo
02-16-2008, 09:29 PM
Still not completely sure what you are seeing... especially when you mention seeing your email
Once you have the code in your profile or listing logout and see if you are still seeing the same thing.
As for your second request, that's not how the system was designed. The system currently automatically keeps your feedback details updated, whereas what you mention wouldn't.

02-16-2008, 09:37 PM
When I created the code/link and pasted it into my store main settings page, I then went to my store and clicked on the link. The sub window opened with my ebay rating, but in the top right corner was my email address, then the my account, then logout tabs. That is what I want to eliminate. I really just want it to look like it is in Lana's store. Can ya guide me to that end result?
repatoo
02-16-2008, 09:44 PM
OK. Now I know what you are talking about.
You are the only one who will see that and that is only because you are logged into the Repatoo site. If you click the logout link and then go back to your store and click on the link to your feedback profile you should just see the basic report. Again, anyone else who clicks on the link from your store will not see your account information regardless of whether you are logged in or not.
piazzapizza
02-16-2008, 09:46 PM
Now is there a way to have that link in each of my auctions? I would rather have it there than on my store description page.

Sell , read this link on the Webidz banner.
You will copy and paste the second code in the edit signature. To get there follow these instructions.
Top of this screen, blue bar, click user cp.
When the screen changes you will see different options to the left.
Click edit signature and paste the code there. Take out unclejunk1s (end of first line of the code) name and type in yours..sell4less.
Save/proceed and wala your Webidz banner.
As for repatoo...i see you have some sort of code showing in your post......Admin will have to handle that one for you as that still confuses me.
Have to edit again...I see where you said you havnt opened store yet.......the banner will not work until you open store....so get that done then follow instructions above.

Hi Sell:
The forum does not allow HTML in its signatures. Instead it uses something called BBCode, which is essentially a watered down version of HTML. So, in order for you to get your Repatoo badge to display here, you will need to insert the following code:
http://beta.repatoo.com/images/badge1/11.png (http://beta.repatoo.com/?action=lookup&user=1409975)
However, make sure that you change the URL to point to your profile and the IMG to point to your badge (they are the same as the HTML code that you got from the Repatoo site).
Hope this helps.

Hey Roz:
No problem. You should be proud! :)
For putting in your signature... look about 6 posts above this one. There is a snippet of code that I provided. Actually, I'll show you exactly how yours should look. Cut and paste this into you signature:
http://beta.repatoo.com/images/badge1/35.png (http://beta.repatoo.com/?action=lookup&user=1411346)
As far as putting it in your auctions and profiles, when editing, you need to click on the "<>" button which will allow you to paste HTML directly. So you can just use the code you have in your post. I know the admin on this site is much better at describing how to put it in your auctions and profiles, so if you are still having problems, definitely ask...
Good luck!

For those of you who have been having problems inserting their Repatoo banner into their signature, we have added the ability to automatically generate BBCode so that you can simply cut and paste directly into your profile here on WeBidz.
Login to Repatoo -> click on "Get Links" tab -> select banner format, and click "BBCode" -> click "Create" -> copy generated BBCode and paste into your profile.
