I bought a very old cookbook awhile back and this recipe
was one of my favorites
I had to share:)
How To Preserve Children
Take one large grassy field,
Add one half dozen children,
three dogs,
one long, narrow brook (preferable with pebbles)
Mix children and dogs and turn into grassy field,
stir constantly.
Sprinkle with wild spring flowers.
Pour brook over pebbles, cover all with deep blue sky,
and bake in hot sun.
When well browned, they may be removed to a bathtub.
Given a good scrubbing, wholesome food, a prayer, a kiss,
and tucked into a clean bed.
