View Full Version : Better Searches?

Is there a better way to limit my searches. First, I am looking for auctions - not buyouts, but I couldn't find a way to limit my search in the advance search page and eliminate buyout only entries.

Next, is it possible to have an entry returned if it meets a two-word criteria? For instance, if I am searching for Jewel Tea items, I get hundreds of entries with "Jewel" or "Tea" - which is way too many entries to look through.

Anyway - any pointers to help me limit the number of entries being returned and get closer to the items I am looking for?

Thanks

HI Gmay and welcome to the community. I see you limited your search to 1 or 2 words,
(which is best IMHO) our Admin and site owner is looking in to search improvements in the
new program that he and programmers are working on. Wish I could be of more help.:)

If you are all are taking suggestions, it would be nice to have the following search abilities:

1. Auction only searches.
2. When a search returns a list, be able to do an additional search on that list only as a way to further isolate what you are trying to find.

:D

Thanks a bunch for responding.

Greg,

Yes, we are aware that our current search is very limited. This is currently being redeveloped with our new platform that is under development. I have attached a couple movies below, which basically show where the search function is at now, and some of the new fuctionality. Keep in mind that this is still under development, so functionality is not yet up to par... but at least it will give a little insight.
