I don't usually mix politics with business, but today I am.

First some background, I have done quite a bit of genealogy research on my ancestors. I know that I have one line that came from Germany before the revolution. In fact they lived in Philadelphia at the time of the revolution. Lots of history there. I am pretty positive that my ancestors came to America, worked hard, and became Americans.

Yesterday I received this email, and I have thought about it most of the day. I keep reading it, and boy does it make sense to me. It is a great analogy of what is happening in America today.

So here is my email...


Let’s say I break into your house

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!!! It explains things
better than all the baloney you hear on TV.

Her point:

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting
the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.

People are angry that the US might protect its own borders,
might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely.

Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover
me in your house, you insist that I leave.


But I say, 'No! I like it here. It's better than my house. I've made all
the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors.

I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).

According to the protesters:

You are Required to let me stay in your house
You are Requiredto feed me
You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
You are Required to Educate my kids
You are Required to Provide other benefits to me & to my family

My husband will do all of your yard work becausehe is also hard-working and honest. (except for that breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends
who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my
RIGHT to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just
trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well,
you know, I did break into your house
And what a deal it is for me!!!

I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and
there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and bigoted behavior.

Oh yeah, and I DEMAND that you learn
MY LANGUAGE!!! so that you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?!
America is populated and governed by idiots.
If you agree, pass it on (in English).

If not blow it off.........
along with your future Social Security funds and a lot of the former benefits of being an American Citizen.

Roz, I have seen that email before. I share your soapbox. It breaks my heart to see what is happening to my country. I have so much to say, but probably wouldn't know where to stop, so I better not start!

Shari, there's room on that soapbox for you too. Please join us. I don't know why we have to behave when it comes to saving something so dear to us. We need to speak out. Count me in as part of the irate, tireless minority (I could probably substitute 'raging' for 'irate').

It's time to remind our arrogant, out of control politicians in Washington, D.C.
who it is they actually work for.
WE THE PEOPLE
Our Founding Fathers risked everything -their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor - so they could start this little Country called America.
And now today here we are, ready to trade in the very freedoms that make us great.
Avereage Americans are fed up with the elitism and the arrogance inside the Washington Beltway
I've seen it first hand with the Tea Parties earlier this year.
And those in Washington, and most of the media, just don't get.
We all need to find those few moments out of our busy lives to let our representitives know how we feel, and if they don't listen, vote them out!!
Around here I feel a revolution coming,

You both say it much better than I, although I have written, called even went into my local reps local office here with an appointment to discuss this very item, among others with him. So what did it get me, "Yes ma'am I agree... No ma'am that is not what I want... You know ma'am I only want to do what is right for those I represent..."

Here in our Michigan, we have term limits, so only 2 terms and they move on. I do not vote for those that have not listened to the people. Especially the taxpaying people!! I am a taxpayer, not a taxtaker, and darn proud of it.

I am one that HAS been sending this email on..and I rarely send these anymore.

Just a word from a OLD person here.:)

AMERICAN benefits (of ANY kind) should be awarded ONLY to families that ARE citizens and ARE paying
in to our system~!

You know, (I think) my family has just about EVERY nationality :D

in our blood to include..(the ones I KNOW)>> English, GERMAN,Dutch, IRISH, scotch, Italian..(I think). MY children are one fourth NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN. (Cherokee).
MY children are like me and have worked since their early teens and have paid in to the system for well over 20+ yaers..all of them~! I ask you, will ANYTHING be left for THEM?

Long story short..When most of our ancestors came here, they could hardly wait to work, become citizens, PAY in to and FIGHT for our rights and beliefs. They KNEW much more about our government and constitution than ANYONE (other than the authors of same) that were 'native'.

They PRIDED themselves in learning our language~!

(The Indians were the ONLY native Americans, (IMHO).

If the AMERICAN people do not turn back to patriotism and to our beliefs (UNDER GOD) we will fail and it
appears to be in a land-slide (of happening) as we speak. :(

The Declaration of Independence

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence ?

Five signers were captured by the British as traitors,and tortured before they died.

Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.


Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.

Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.

They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

What kind of men were they?

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated, but they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.



Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.

Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly.. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.

Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.

At the battle of Yorktown , Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.

Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.

John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished.

So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently thank these patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they paid.

Remember: freedom is never free!

It's time we get the word out that patriotism is NOT a sin, and the Fourth of July has more to it than beer, picnics, and baseball games.

My hat goes off to all you ladies. I don't talk about this type thing in public either Roz, cause once I get started I can't shut up till it ALL out there. When I look at the metals my dad received it makes me sick to see the way our country is now. And the sad part is WE THE VOTERS have allow it to happen because instead of voting our hearts, we vote the ways its always been done. Right or wrong we don't want to rock the boat by voting with the fear of God in our hearts. GOD has given us so much that we take for granite, like the breathe we breath, the flowers , trees, etc.. Our fore fathers gave Gods the glory by putting "IN GOD WE TRUST" on our money. And how about "ONE NATION UNDER GOD" and the list goes on.

SHAME, SHAME on us as a nation. It's time to wake up and put things right. It's time we "do for our own". Charity starts as home. I am sick of seeing folk (Americans) both old and young doing without while our government spends billions of OUR tax dollars for countries whos own government never allows their people to have.
Well anyway, I'm so proud of you girls. God bless every one of you.

Did yall know that anyone coming into our United States can start a busines and dont have to pay taxes for 5 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Donald and I will consider ourselves lucky if we get our social security!!!! He'll be 56 this month(same day as Lana) and I will be 55 in October. We have a long way to go before we can apply for it.
Ok, rant over for now....

Don't get me started again, I have been so irate since reading this email on Tues. Sure am glad that I am not alone with my thoughts.

I so agree, what do you ALL feel we can do as a peaceful
MINORITY to help protect our kids and grans? I don't want to
be a trouble-maker, but lol, we HAVE to raise our voices..
EVER color, every creed, every belief..IF you work (or if
you are disabled) you HAVE worked or your family has
worked..We have to raise our voices!! What do we do
NOW??

IF you do not think that working AMERICA is becoming a
