This sounds very good and easy too. I may make some mix, then I can make a bigger batch and cool it for a cold coffee treat in the evening after work. ;)
Thanks Sandra for the recipe...

Actually, I did this. I found some adorable 8-oz ceramic canisters at my local Dollar Tree (everything's a dollar!). I filled them with the mix, tied a pretty matching ribbon around some cinnamon sticks which served as the bow. From that, I hung a decorated recipe card. Very cute and useful gift with very little expense.

That's a good idea. I used to be quite a crafter, dabbling in all sorts of things. Gave that up when I started with online sales. Just not enough time to do everything. However, one thing I still do is make sachets. I grow lavender in my garden. I dry it and put it in heart-shaped pouches I make out of lace and then decorate with ribbon and/or artifical flowers.
Maybe start a thread with a sticky for home-made gift ideas or something of that nature?

Hey, Sandi, Lana
I know what you mean! :)
I have about 4 afghans started, and a couple of cross stitch projects started. Not enough hours in the day, let me tell ya!! :D About all I get done is here on the computer, housework, reading, and a movie thrown in a couple days a week!

I do this every year for friends, family, co-workers ect.
You can do special teas, flavored instant coffees, hot cocoa, bath salts,
jams and jellies, brownie mix, marinara sauce, ect.
More of a special touch than just some store bought item.
Sometimes, especially for Birthdays or Anniversaries, I make up Gift Baskets,
ie: romantic dinner - Homemade sauce, pasta, bottle of wine (or champagne),
choc. covered fruit, flowers, special home made salad dressing.
I'm always looking for recipes that are great for this,
Thanks Sandra for posting this,
I'm gonna use it :D
