Well....You asked for my opinion....so you're gonna get it! :p hee hee I truly think a format painter would be a wonderful addition anywhere on the site that formatting is done, not only in WAM. I use it bunches in my MS Word software and am so grateful for it! It saves me loads of time. Plus...you would be one up on eBay with this one, 'cause they don't have one! :D

I believe this is a function available in ms word? I have never used, so not really sure. If it is an option in word, it is most likely proprietary and protected by copyrights. If you could give me a brief description on what this does (in your words), I could look into this, to see if it is something that we could use or try to mimic.

My pleasure! Yes, it's in MS Word, and I love it! The icon is a picture of a big paintbrush...like the kind you'd use to paint a house with. Maybe if you come up with something it could be a picture of an artist's paintbrush or something. Just a thought. To use it, you highlight an example of what you want the format to look like and use the format painter to change other words to the same format. For example...if you want certain words in bold then you would "manually" format one word in bold, highlight it, click the format painter icon (once for one use and twice for repeated use), and then "touch" or highlight the other words that you want to be formatted bold. It works for size, font, centering, bold, italics, underline...pretty much any of the formatting modes. It makes formatting go MUCH faster!

I hope this makes sense to you! If it doesn't or you have questions, just let me know! I'd love to help! :)

Shel,

Microsoft probably has rights to that feature. In that case, WeBidz would have to create a new, similar program. Just guessing, but it's most likely not on the priority list right now. I do love the suggestion!

You are probably correct about having to come up with a similar version and it not being priority right now. One can always hope....and it doesn't hurt to mention it. Who knows what could come of it!
