postage - whats the best way with out confusion

Seller from Australia and trying to work out how to set up postage here.
For shipping cost do I put in the shipping cost for Australia and ask international sellers to contact me before buying.

That is the way I would do it, ask that a bidder contact you for shipping prior to bidding for the postage. Or in you listing, which may be a bit more work, but save you grief in the end, put is the amount of postage to say Florida or California to give the bidder some idea of the postage.

I've had questions regarding shipping costs and it's stated clearly in the listing. So I've learned that people neglect to read the whole thing. My advice to you is to state that in the "item description" area and highlight it. Then also state it in the "payment and shipping" box.
