Christmas in August Listing Contest

July 29th - August 5th

Prizes are as follows:
1st place.......Featured Seller Spot month of September
2nd place.................Store banner
3rd place.......250 WeBex Points

Here are the rules:

1. You must sign up here, let me know how many items are in your store at the time, when you sign up. If you are listing site only, please let me know so I am aware of this.

2. The contest starts July 29th 12pm PDT , any new listings prior to that time will not count for the contest, sorry. The contest ends Aug 5th at 11:59pm PDT

3. Relists will not count, only new listings, as I go by the number of the items in your store. I don't have the ability to check for items that do not relist, and are replaced by a new listing. So you may want to check to make sure that you will not have any item expiring during this period.

4. Sorry, if you have won top prize in any contest in the previous 60 days, you are not eligible to win top prize again. You may however win any of the other prizes.

Is the contest for listing the most Christmas items in the time period?

Or just listing Christmas items during that time period?

Sorry, but I'm easily confused, maybe need another cup of coffee.

It is for listing any type of item in that time period. Just trying to get folks motivated to start thinking ahead to the holidays. That is all.

Some folks have the Bronze level 1 (free) store, it offers 250 items listed for free. So why not take advantage of that. Use it to your best advantage. Here is a great example:

I have a friend, who's birthday is in Sept. Last Easter she said that she would like a nice Easter Basket made of glass that she could put an arangement in for on her library table in her entryway. I did not think about her birthday back then, but now I am trying to find one. So since the local stores don't have them out now, I am looking here at WeBidz for one.

So you never know what a person is looking for, so put it out there and see what happens. Also with Halloween and Thanksgiving coming up, get those items listed also. How about back to school, remember we have to ship things, so it is never too early.

As for Christmas, my husband and I both work retail and have heard customers say "I am doing my Christmas shopping a bit every payday." Smart idea too, won't hurt so much in December. ;)

So list whatever you to sell, and see what happens, fill up those 250 spots. The more you have to offer, the better chance you will of making a sale.

What is your item count in your store? I need that too. ;)

You know it is best to list some new items as others in the hunt want to see new stuff. Better for sales also.

Brad can't blow you away, it is against the rules. See post one rule #4. You can win this time, afterall third time is a charm. Right? Or is that 3 strikes your out? HUMMMM, dang CRS, Maybe it is always a bridemaid, never a bride. UMMMMMM, now you have me all confused.

LOL, hey Roz. You said something about suffering from CRS. funny thing is that that's my initials. I truly suffer from CRS (Christine R. Senter), or rather my husband suffers from it.

Many years ago, my husband moved us out to a little country home. We lived on Country Road S, or CRS. He said it was so I wouldn't forget where I lived. LOL

Hi Everyone,

I have updated the original post to show where everyone stands in the listing contest. So far Brad is in the lead, but since his store is the featured store this month he can not win that spot in this contest. So there is plenty of opportunity to get that spot.

Also I am disqualified, as I am running the contest. I just put my name there as incentive for me. lol Could someone please light a fire under my rear, I surely need it.
