Simple question

On the main page, under navigation on the left, I see all the categories and a number in parentheses. What does that number represent? Is it the number of listings in that category or the number of sellers with listings in the category, or something completely different?

I believe its the number of items in that catagory. I think I read somewhere that the counters update 1ce or 2ce a week so the numbers may be off a bit.

Wow. Hopefully they will get those counters updated a little more frequently. I thought it was the items in the category but, when I uploaded 21 items and the count stayed the same, I was confused.

The count may stay the same for a couple of days, but all the listings for that catagory are there. So anyone clicking on that catagory will see any listings you have up.
