When I set this up, I checked that I want an email notification when I list a new item. Yesterday, I uploaded 21 items but have not received a single email. Bug perhaps?

This is not a bug. The auction manager does not list through the regular site listing files, so it is not currently set up to send these emails. I am not sure if this is going to be included in a later release, but it will be quite some time if it is.
