It has been brought up to me that maybe we should put the October game on hold do to the lack of interest and the upcoming holidays. If you would like to have it postponed, or would like to participate in the game as not only putting your store up, but playing along, please post what you would like to see here and tell me why you made that decision. Last game we had 12 stores signed up....by request because some thought to many stores took to long to look through. I changed the rules although we could have had 40 stores listed. Sad part is we only had 6 players. August game we only had 4 players, with no participation in the buying contest. Tell me what you want as a community, tell me what you want as an individual....you can send me a private message if you would rather not post here. Thanks

Hey Steve,,JMHO, but I would love to continue, if other folks
do. Prolly a good time for all of us (especially me::)) to get more items
up for sale.. I personally think that going in to the holidays is the time to
push, not back off.
Thanks Steve, and I will go with whatever the group wants to do.:)

I'll go along with what ever you decide Steve

Times are tough on lot of people right now as far as the buying contest go's & on the hunt well I'd like to see more then 12 stores for the game! but I also understand that if you can't get enough people to play then maybe it should be postponed for awhile!

What ever you decide!:)

I have been getting a lot of emails as to my questions. I will try to highlight some of the ideas that have been presented to me, and we can go from there.

It seems that most folks like the smaller amount of search-able stores.

It has been asked that when you put your store into the game, that you play the game as well. This makes sense because folks get their stores looked at, but don't bother looking.

More items from the game entering stores to be posted in the webex auctions, so that the points can be used for something worth while. This was also addressed that maybe the stores playing would donate prizes instead of relying on Donated Points, and Admin Prizes.

Points are given by DONATION. They are not given by Admin. They come from the folks who earned them and enjoy promoting this site. If this site grows, all members here can prosper. That goes with any venue you sell on.

Playing times. Some folks start their days earlier than others, and some play later than others. If we could come together with a good start time for the game that would be great. Keep in mind that we all live in different time zones. My time ...say 12 noon is 2-3 hours plus or minus from me in Colorado.

Declaring that you have submitted your playing lists. We offer 4 places wo win big points, and then points for playing. Some feel that when the first people declare they have it, then the rest give up or don't play at all, because whats 100 points compared to 3000.

Some folks think that I am looking for a way out of the games because I have my plate full with this site, my own auction site, my sellers group, my other sites I sell on, plus my personal life. Let me put to rest that I make my own bed and enjoy everything I do here and there. I promote myself. No body is going to do it for me. If I win, I win because I earned it. If I fail it's because I failed myself.

I would like this game to be played as it was meant in the beginning. Bring Sellers and Buyers together. Big stores, Little stores. 1 item or thousands.

I will be working on a NEW set of rules for players for the October game. I still would like to gather your thoughts, so send me anything that might come to mind. They might not be used right off the bat, but they are saved and considered greatly.

Thanks so much...................Steve

I agree. For me, it could be 20 or less.

I strongly agree.

??? I strongly disagree.

I already donate points. However, I would be willing to donate a prize instead, but I don't understand the difference between a store prize and an admin prize.

I agree. Maybe 2 PM MDT (soon MST)

I agree. I did not announce in this last S-H for that reason.

Thank you, Steve, for all you do. Thanks also for providing this forum for suggestions. I'm sure everyone realizes that not all suggestions can be implemented.

Point 1-
I wouldnt mind the whole 40 stores to look thru. We do have 3 days to look thru them, and sometimes Steve give us 1 or 2 days more. But I will go along with what everone else wants to do.

Point 2-
I agree, Why enter your store if you are not going to play the game?

Point 3-
I strongly disagree also.

Point 4-
I have donated points for the first 2 games (I dont know why I didnt do this for the Sept. game,) but I will for the October game. I am already offering free shipping on all items until Dec. 31st.

Point 5-
I agree, maybe after 12:00 central, that is my time zone. That gives everyone a fighting chance.

Point 6-
Steve didnt mention we werent supposed to post when we finished. We did it for the first 2 games, so I didnt know any different, but I do now. Makes sense, more of a thrill.....

Steve, you are doing a great job. Thanks! Keep up the good work!

I agree with the above also. I never send in the list, although I do search the stores. If a person flies their
logo in the game they should be part of the game~! (IMHO) This means BUYING as well as selling . Most of our active board members do so anyway though.:)

Hi Lana....thanks for asking me to clarify this...I read it again, and it does seem confusing.

The point was made that if you enter the game... you might want to donate or list a prize that is posted into webex actions for points only so that the winner of the contest could see something new worth spending their game points on. Some feel that the admin items listed in webex are not in their taste. This issue was mentioned a few times.

Thank you Steve,, forgive me for being 'DUH' (senior moment again) that time.. :D

I think it is a GREAT idea for everyone of us (that are able to) to get something new and fresh up there for the WEBEX point buyers anyway~! :) (just IMHO) the Admin should not have to do most of the giving and spending anyway, as this is to benefit all of us. I hope I have said the right thing and this is just MHO. Thank you for all that you do Steve, we appreciate all the members like you, Roz, Sandra and many more..:)

Steve,
Just wanted to add my “2 cents” to the suggestions, I know you have decided to continue the Hunt at least for October, but better late than never!!:D
Thanks for all you do to provide these games. I am sure it takes a great deal of time to locate and choose the ‘hunt items’ and then make sure the submitted lists that are correct before declaring the winner

#1 = It seems that most folks like the smaller amount of search-able stores.

I feel 12 is too few when you have 40 or more stores – (at least 15 but not more than 20)

#2 = It has been asked that when you put your store into the game, that you play the game as well. This makes sense because folks get their stores looked at, but don't bother looking.
I strongly agree – besides it is fun to see all the items other stores have listed. And you become more familiar with what is available on this site, not to mention what the competition is!

#3 = More items from the game entering stores to be posted in the WebEx auctions, so that the points can be used for something worth while.
Some members simply may not have the type of items that can be listed for WebEx auctions.

#4 = This was also addressed that maybe the stores playing would donate prizes instead of relying on Donated Points, and Admin Prizes.
Perhaps there could be both. Some store prizes and some points.

#5 = Playing times. Some folks start their days earlier than others, and some play later than others. If we could come together with a good start time for the game that would be great. Keep in mind that we all live in different time zones. My time ...say 12 noon is 2-3 hours plus or minus from me in Colorado.
I personally spend most of my time on the computer in the mornings (sometimes very early mornings when I can not sleep!!). So when a game is started afternoon or evening MDT I probably won’t see it until the next morning because I am in EDT. However I still join the game because I feel if my store is going to be part of the game then I need to play, even if I am not one of “the search stores” for this particular game. I enjoy the challenge of this game and the fact that I do not have to be on line during the entire game like some of the others (i.e.: Hangman, Bingo etc)

#6= Declaring that you have submitted your playing lists. We offer 4 places to win big points, and then points for playing. Some feel that when the first people declare they have it, then the rest give up or don't play at all, because what’s 100 points compared to 3000.
Maybe we could just say something like “I working on my list” or “I found 6 so far” Just to let other folks know they have some competition, but do not state you have submitted the completed list in the game thread.
