why do I need to get "verified". I have over 2,000 FB on Ebay. I hate the idea of starting over and kissing that feedback behind but I guess I have no choice. I earned quite a bit of FB on eBay without getting verified on anything. I see no reason why I have to pay $5 to start now.

I have over 1,500 positive FB on eBay but gladly paid the $5 for verification. Consider this. For $5 on eBay, you could list 25 auctions starting at 99c or less. Then, if any of them sold, you also had to pay them a FVF. Here, you can list 25 auctions for FREE. If they sell, no FVF. $5 is a small price to pay if you look at the big picture.

You do have a choice, register an account with repatoo and bring your feedback with you. There is a thread here saying how to do that.
And as Phil stated above, the $5.00 fee is a very very small price to pay, look at what you have to pay and have already spent at Ebay to have that 2000 FB.
Ebay base store is around 17.00 per month, even if things do not sell. And does Ebay have a banner that you can fly in post and such to attract people to your store, or does your store just sit there and no one knows you have it unless they happen upon one of your auctions? Base store here for up to 250 items listed is FREE. Free banner to let everyone know that you have a store. Free repatoo banner so all may see your feedback that you have worked so hard to build.
No LISTING FEES here, and no FVF fees.
So in my math book, $5.00 one time is WAY better than what you have been paying at Ebay for that 2000 FB.
And let's not forget, The wonderful Admin staff that you can actually email and ask questions and they actually answer them.

It does NOT bother me at all to pay the $5.00 verification fee..I sell on five alternate sites and
have been on staff at 3 of them. I paid a verification fee at ALL of them. Did not bother me at
all..They are working for nothing..(not to be crass, but the truth!)
I have like 2,800 FB at FEEbay, and so glad not to pay their fees
at this time..My goodness, .. last time I sold there I think I sold $400.00 that month and after paying
for all ebay/paypal/FVFs/ store and more..I cleared are you ready..about $100.00!!
Our 'fee' schedule is here>>

AND BTW, our owner/Admin is on site constantly and prolly works this site over 100 hours a
week..ALWAYS here for us. I love the Repatoo we use here again>>FREE.

okay, I signed up for repatoo, paid the $5 through google to get verified, signed back into webidz to post an item and I'm still being told that I have to get verified. I got an email receipt that I paid the $5. Anybody know what I should do now?

Thanks. I just dropped a line to SageFox about my account. I got an email vertification and when I clicked on the link, I was told "Error: Account activation is not possible using this feature or the activation details you have submitted are invalid." I look over my info and it looks pretty good to me. So as of right now, I have the repatoo, the vertification is paid for but there's a problem w/my webidz account. Well, nobody said that it was going to be easy making the switch.

Bacardistuff,

Sorry I can't help you with that one, I am just a member of the welcome wagon, lol. I did not have any problems when I signed up, so have no suggestions for you. This is not a problem that I have seen posted previously, but am sure that when Admin comes in he will have it fixed and you will be up and listing very quickly.

BTW, love you name, the beverage of course...

And I don't even drink! my parents had the tradition of naming their dogs after alcoholic beverages so I carried the torch so to speak. My four babies are Bacardi, Daiquiri, Chardonnay and Tequila.

Verification is an automated process, but can take up to 30-40 minutes before you can list. I am showing your account as verified, so you should be able to list at this time.

The error you posted is associated with clicking a email activation link for an account that has already been email activated.

Email activation is to basically turn your account on. Verification is to be able to sell.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Sorry I am not able to help, just had to comment on the babies. I can just hear you in the yard calling them ! Mine is named Brandy and is in my lap now. My wife spells it Brandie. She is a Yorkie and the best little thing you could ask for. Good luck to you and I hope they get to quick with help.
