Hi everyone,
I've had problems with paypal. I bought pet supplies online and only got half the stuff. I filed a complaint and Paypal said since they had a tracking number from the seller and they were siding with him???? It didn't matter to them that I got got half of what I ordered. He could have sent me an empty box and they still would have sided with him because he had a tracking number. So I lost money and I decided it was time to look elsewhere. I still have a Paypal account but I wanted to find someplace bette if I could. I signed up with moneybookers out of the UK. Has anyone heard of them? Are they any good? They sound legit and they are cheaper than Paypal.
Thanks,
Cathy Ann

I have never heard of them. To be honest I have not heard of hardly any of the payment services that Webidz has listed. But I do plan on doing some reasearch as if and when Ebay runs theirselves into the ground, they could possibly take pay-pal with them unless someone comes in and buys pay-pal from Ebay. And who knows what those changes will be like. My suggestion is to thoroughly check out several different payment services. Keep your banking information to yourself until you decide on the one or two you want to use. The less your personal information is out...the better off you are. If you start signing up on payment services, the chances of your personal information getting into the wrong hands are greater.
Investigate, reinvestigate, and then do it one more time. And just like your question here, ask around, see what others experiences have been with the different sources.
Kat.

Cathy,

Although it is not fair, pretty much any merchant would side with the seller if they provide "proof of delivery", where a signature was received. A seller could possibly send an empty box... then once you sign for it, they have proved delivery.

Regardless of what payment method you use, we always recommend quickly opening packages before signing or accepting. Some shippers may get testy with you for wanting to do this, but that is part of their job. Remember, you are the customer, and they are working for you.
