Irish Sunshine,

Welcome to Webidz, we are always happy to help you in any way we can.

When using WAM, on the create a new auction screen, it is the second box up on the right hand side, just above the "save" button. Auction Start Time, click "custom" then set date.

Hope this answered your question,

Irish Sunshine,

Sorry, I am trying to do this and help 3 yr old granddaughter play her games (Strawberry Shorcake), not working well.;)

Uninstall what you have, then install this one

Sorry again,:o

It's me again! I just used the Extraction Wizard to extract what was in the Zipped folder, and now have another folder marked Auction Manager on the desktop! Any ideas?

OK, I think that I got it downloaded (NET Framework 2.0/WAM 1.49), and now there is a house with a green roof on the Desktop! So if I do an auction now, I should be able to schedule? TY

Did you set your prefences? Did you download the master file? Seems there is something else, will go check and be back...:o

Irish*Sunshine

I double clicked the House and got a preference template, but most the drop down options were blank!

Correct, set you username and password for Webidz, and any other items that you can fill in. Then go download the master file giving you categories, countries, and many other items... Save yourself grief this way.... :D

Let me know how it goes...

Irish*Sunshine

OK, what and/or where is the 'Master File'?

rnrgiftsnmore
02-21-2008, 07:01 AM
Click on file in the upper left corner, you will find it there...

When I try to download the master File, it says 'Server can not log you on...check userID & password'! I am signed into WeBidz, so what do they need! I am doing this from the Desktop Icon (house), should I be on the site it self somewhere?

Did you enter your username and password in the preferences? To check click tools in the upper left corner, and check to be sure that you have it entered correctly....You don't need to be logged into Webidz to use WAM, once you get it set up....Unless you are downloading or uploading some files...

OK, that all worked out, so I tried a 'Test Run' and Saved it, but when I went to WeBidz it was not in my scheduled folder!! BTW, thanks for your extreme patience...I have other questions, but will start a new thread for that, so you'll get a break and I will check out your things once I'm up-n-running!

No worry about all the questions, I asked quite a few too, still do.

I just ran a test auction, you can do that, choose category everything else, then test. I was scheduled for 1:05pm today and it came right up. I went to WAM, and did not even see the folder that you speak of, so my suggestion is to wait for Admin...he should be around the forums soon, and will give you the correct answer.

If you want to ask questions, I will try to answer them, not a problem. Others with more experience may be able to help you also.

Bidding you great success,
Roz

Hmmmm, that doesn't sound good, but we'll wait for the Big Guns!

For research/category purposes, is there a way to checkout ended Auctions here?

Is WeBidz open to International Buyers?

Thanks once again, John

Sunshine,:)

No way that I know of to do the research thingy, although I did not choose to do that, either.

Yes, Webidz is open to International buyers and sellers...

I had some connection problems, so have not seen Admin in today, will check around.

Irish,

I know scheduling auctions works with the auction manager, but possibly there is a setting that is not correct to have it display in the members area. We will check into this further, and if this is a bug, we will provide a fix.

Regarding closed auctions... The auction manager will not download closed auctions, but if an auction in the auction manager has closed, it will update the status to "closed". If that does not answer your question, please let us know.

Thanks for all your assistance Roz...

Admin,

No problem, as this was still fresh in my memory...I remember all the problems that I had. See I am still teachable:D, just never gonna be a techie. I do admire you and others who do know this machine.

I have been using them for years, even started out in school years ago ('75) when we had to do punch card for the old main frames..wanted to be a programmer. I still remember the day I caused major problems and the old main frame just shut down for hours... My last day of that class. I even owned a VIC 20, when they first came out, yes I am a dinosaur...:D

Anyway, any time I can help a fellow Webidzer get up and running I will be there...not afraid to say I don't know, better wait for someone else or Admin to help you.

Have a wonderful evening,
Roz
