View Full Version : Import ratings from other sites

Hi,
I was wondering if at some time we could import our ratings from other auction places that we have left. I know some auction sites allow this but I haven't seen anything like that here.
It would really help members if buyers and sellers alike can check out established reputations of ones they want to deal with here. I was wondering if that would help get some bids going.
Kind Regards,

We used to have this option in the past, but did not include in our most recent update. There has been much debate and some lawsuits regarding the legality of using data from another site. So at this time we will not be allowing this, but this may be allowed at a future date. We need to make sure we are complying with all laws, and at this time there is uncertainty with this practice of importing feedback.
We allow members to link to other sites in their store about us pages, as well as in the community pages. So you may use these to reference other places you sell, and your feedback there. Keep external links to a low level though, as too many could be deemed as spam. Posting in the community pages will also be a way for potential buyers to see what kind of person you are, what type of customer service you provide, what type of products you sell, etc.
You can also use the blogs to promote your products, and show buyers who you are. I have linked below a more in depth article we released regarding blogs and auction promotion.

I always seem to have trouble thinking of things for a blog but I think I will try it.

You can bring em (sorta).
Go to repatoo.com.
Create an account there and choose your "badge".
Then come back here and read thread bringing your feedback from ebay.
Admin will be happy to help you get it put in your store. Then people will be able to see your feedback from ebay and several other accounts if you have them.
To get more bidders on the site we are all suggesting to email your contacts from ebay and tell them you have moved here.
Also you can get your store banner for this site, and add it as a personal signature in your outgoing personal email.
Welcome to the Webidz family, never hesitate posting a suggestion or question. Admin here is awsome and always answers.
Visit the forums often as new subjects (and old) are posted daily. :)

Welcome home bubba.
It's been a crazy house around here for about a week....but things are getting back to normal (not sure if that's an improvement over crazy though):D
You know I'm directin everyone who asks about feedback to knock on your door so you best come back often.
