I want to buy a laptop from a seller, this is the first time I've ever used this site. How do I know everything is legit? How do I know if I get this laptop, pay for it, I will actually recieve it, and not just be scammed for my money?

Well, the vast majority of sellers here are legitimate, but you will have scammers anywhere, including eBay. If you are worried about that the first things I would do would be to check the seller's feedback. If there is none, send them a message and see if they respond and what the response sounds like. Third, make sure you pay with a secure payment method like PayPal or Google Checkout. That way if there is a problem you have a place to go for some relief.

What Joe has stated is correct. Feedback and how a seller interracts with you should be looked at closely. Paypal and Google have dispute and chargeback methods, where money orders and checks do not. So we would recommend checks or money orders only to sellers that have a strong feedback history, and good communication skills.
