I just downloaded and installed the WAM software. When I tried to download the “Master Data” I get a user id / password error. Saying the server could not be logged into…. I have checked and the one I used in the preferences is the same one that I use to login to the regular site, it is the only ID / PW that I have. I have also tried logging off completely and then back on, put am still getting the same error. Did I miss something in the instructions? Pease advise. Thanks for your time.
Update: What is the difference between the "login" information on the regular live site vs. the login information on the "test.webidz.com" site. does anyone know if need to set up another user id with a password?

Found this thread with basically the same problem you are having.
Hope Admins answer on this one helps you also.:)
If not I'm sure he will be along shortly to help.
Does your version of WAM say "test auction"?

rn,
We have replied to your recent email. It seems you have the "test" version for some reason. If you could provide the page you downloaded, this would be appreciated.
Kathy,
This program was working for you in the past wasn't it? What version are you running?

Admin........I'm not listing from wam......I'm listing from the site.....I have Wam downloaded but not really listing from it It worked fine for me on the few that I did list from it....the only thing I noticed was it was duplicating auctions when I did them. I simply deleted the duplicate and moved the rest into waiting to upload.
Just had thought I had seen that same ? asked and maybe could help by providing that link.
Thanks Admin.

It took me 2 times too to get the right one! !st one says test, then we deleted all that and loaded again and got the right one! I think it depends on what time of day it is for WAM! He might be tired!! LOL!

I had the same problem originally. The way I fixed this issue was to unzip the files to the directory I wanted it to be in and then run the install. Seems you must install from the destination directory. (Or at least that was what worked for me).

mj,
Did you have that issue the first time you loaded the software on your PC? Or had there been previous installs?
Lana,
I thought yours was working? Is the icon on your desktop named test, or is it when you open the program that you see that? You didn't replace the setting.xml file that we previously provided you did you? As that was a fix for that previous version only.
I just downloaded from the auction manager page, and installed on a XP Pro and a Vista machine. Both are running v1.49 and connecting.

I just got the test one the first time we downloaded it so i deleted everything and did it over but this time i open the folder 1st then extract it! I think thats the problem were all having with the xp is that we try to extract the folder itself first! So everyone needs to open that 1st folder then extact! Now on the 98 the folder came up differant were i had to extrat the folder!
I'm running WAM 1.49 perfect with no problem using it many times a day now!

Hi, i had the same problem, i downloaded the file and after reading your threads relized that i had the Test Version too. But i fixed it. Click on the Zip file, click on the first file, then you will see 2 folders and 2 setups, the first one is the WAM and the Second one was the Test Version. Well at least it was for me. Hope that helps.
