I am a little confused about what appears to be a difference between store items here vs store items over on the bay. here I can list an item as an auction or store or both. Over there it was either auction or store. But for a store item over there, you put in a Buy It Now price and there was no bidding available. I am starting to list items here as store only, but it appears to me that even though it is a store listing only, it is still an auction with bidding available. Am I seeing it correctly?

Hi Phil,
I always list in both here for my auctions and my store items. If I do an auction I list my starting price then in the buy out box I put the price I would take for it to be bought out. It's kinda like putting up an auction on the bay and paying the extra charge to put a buy it now price on it too. Or for your auctions you can leave the buy out box blank.
For buy out items you list the starting price and the buy out price the same, and then it doesn't give the bid option on the listing. I hope this makes sense.
By listing in both it puts all my items on the site and in my store. If you choose auction it will only show up on the site and not in your store. And if you choose store it shows up in your store, but not on the site. I hope this helps!

It's best to set it so it list in both! Yes it's a auction both ways! But say you have a buyer come to the web site and do a serch for something and it pops up you have this item then they can go to it! That buyer will see you have a store and click on your name! If you have a buyer come on the site and see's you name somewere on it they can click on your name and they will get your store and they will see they can bid there too and most likely look at your other items too!
Hope this answers for you!
Good Luck!

So basically, I can list auctions, then list items in my store only, have the starting price and Buy Out price the same to eliminate bidding. My goal then would be to have my auctions attract interest and also drive potential customers into the store, to see what other items I have that don't show up on the site.

Yes Just set your start and buy price the same! You can also click if you want it in the store only, site only or both! Both is the best! Gets you items seen more!

One final question. You said if I list an item as store only, potential customers will not see it on the site but would have to go to my store to see the item. And vice versa, if I list an item as an auction only, it would not appear in my store. OK, but when I click on the my selling link in the gray bar, I will see all my items no matter whether they are stor auction or both correct?

I do believe that is correct!

That is correct Phil......when you click on the selling list.....if you notice under the item title...it says if it is located in store, auction, or both.
