why does it take so long to upload pics?

I've been waiting 11 minutes now for 2 pictures to load up. I've tried twice. Both pics are 55X48cm. surely that can't be too big, can it? Oh I just hate to waste time waiting to load this stuff up for an auction that I know deep down won't sell but there's always that nagging 'what if' in the back of my mind. 12 minutes now. Is there a trick to how many times you have to hit the upload button? I have to leave for work in 10 minutes if anybody has any advice? I've tried refresh and it does nothing.

What speed is your internet connection, and what size are your images? Our system is usually fairly fast...

55X48cm, the speed changes throughout the day... it depends on internet traffic, etc. I do not have dial-up. It's 7:36 PM now and I'm still waiting. I'll give it a few more hours before I call it quits for the night. :)

55x48 cm is not the size he was looking for. And if that really is the size of the pictures, those are HUGE. That is 21.7 x 18.9 inches. But what really matters is the computer size of the pics. How many MegaBytes. That tells a lot more than physical size. Remember that pictures posted here need to be 200kB or less. Odds are if your pics are really that big, they are well over 200kB.

Image upload should only take a couple seconds. Possibly do you have a firewall or security feature that may be blocking connections? I am assuming you are saying the size of your image is 55x48 pixels? This size should be fine as long as your images are jpeg or gif format. Possibly is your image a .bmp format? If so, it is most likely very large, and could cause upload issues.

If your image is a format other than jpeg or gif, you should be able to change very easily. Just open your image, then click the save as option and save as a different format. Please let us know if you need any additional assistance.
