Ways to promote this site

I thought it would be nice to have a thread on differnt ways we can promote this site & give each other some good ideas.

Here are some ways I am promoting this site for free. I put the webidz banner in my signature for my e-mail account. Also have gone to loads of free forums & posted about this site. Will be going to myspace to post a blog. There are several free forums you can post in I'm talking hundreds.

Another way is google search typing free advertising it will take you to hundreds of places to advertise. If you know of other ways please do tell because we really need to get the word out.

The email provoded by my cable internet service does not have a way for me to add the banner to my signature, so I simply typed a message myself, and that goes out on every email. I am also in the process of sending out emails to the 350 customers who paid me via PayPal last year, announcing that my store has moved from eBay to here. Once they are done I will download my 2006 customers and email them too. I also participate in several Yahoo Groups about basball cards and collecting, and every few weeks I post the info about WeBidz. Collectively that reaches about 1500 to 2000 potential customers.

Local advertising - I sell items for other people too and my new flyers/cards will now have my WeBidz info. I tack them on community post-it boards and hand them out at wholesale and antique auctions. Also, anytime I'm at a yard sale and the seller says "Well, I can get $$$ online for this", I hand them a flyer/card and tell them that I can help them get that amount :D

My 2 welding cap salesmen (hubby & son LOL) sell caps at all the jobsites and I'm trying to design a way to add my store URL to the size tags... limited space so I've got to get fairly creative there.
