This is actually not a bug. The encryption method was recently changed for the WeBidz site. The Auction Manager is coded to only recognize the new encryption method. I have pasted the details below, which were also included with the install instructions that you downloaded. Please let us know if you have any additional questions and/or problems.
NOTE: If you receive a could not connect, username/password not correct" error, this means your password on the site was saved with our previous algo encryption, and the software is not able to decrypt the password. You will need to simply log into your account on the WeBidz site and change your password. You can use the same password you have now, just be sure you enter it into the new password section, and save the changes. This will save your password using our updated encryption algo, which the software will now be able to recognize.

Hi,
Tried the solution you showed, but I'm also unable to get WAM to login and download.?????
Says invalid login/pw.
Cheers!

terra,
Possibly try logging into the site and changing your password to a different set of characters, then click the save changes at the bottom of the page. Our system should be saving your password with our new decryption method when you click the save changes button... but evidently something is awry
Please reply back if this is successful for you.

No, sorry, still not working. Changed my password completely and WAM still won't log in. Also tried using different web browsers, IE and Firefox to do so.

Possibly there was a faulty install or download package. I would recommend uninstalling the program completely. Then download our newest version (link below), then complete a fresh install. What OS are you running? Do you have .NET framework installed? If you don't, the auction manager should have installed that also.

Still having trouble, remove it, reinstalled, installed the netfx package as well. I'm on Windows XP Pro 2002 Service Pack 2.
I'm also behind a government firewall here. Could that have something to do with it?
Thanks!

A firewall could definintely cause such issues. I am assuming you have no control over the firewall settings? If not, you will most likely not be able to connect from that location. Our firewall asks us if we want to allow the connection... Being behind a government firewall, it is most likely not simply a PC setting that would have to be changed... but I am not an expert in this area.
I would suggest trying to install and connect from your home PC.
