cross-promotions, sellers other items

Is there any way I can set "seller's other items" to show similar items to the auction item being viewed? I can only assign store items a custom catergory, right? I sell a variety of items, old, new, hand-crafted and my fabrics on auction are showing "Pottery & Glass" and/or "Business" and not showing only my other fabrics and "Crafts".
