I've been searching for quite a while on auctions on mybidz.com but it seems that NOBODY actually bids on the items.
I would like to ask people who have been here for qiite a while how rare it is for someone to bid.
And another thing. Do they actually use the BUYITNOW button?
Thanks

HI platinum18,
Welcome to Webidz! I wanted to let you know that I have had 8 bids this month. I am just closing on 5 of them from yesterday. All have been paid for and transactions went smoothly.
I am not sure if people really use the BIN alot or not. My bidders just bid and waited for items to end which is fine. On my auctions, I usually give them the option of using BIN or bidding, so they can choose.
I wish you all the best in your buying and selling here on WeBidz. Happy Holidays from our house to yours!
Merry Christmas!

I too am a bit discouraged about the activity of bidding or buy it now auctions - I know it's going to take this entire community to spread the word about webidz.com....and I know it will take time also, for quality sellers to list MORE items and quality customers to BUY more items here. I'm excited about this web site and look forward to being on the top ten seller list some day! USAQuarterback

Hi USA..YES, we all DO have to work hard to make it grow!! :) I know one thing, the folks that really do
the forums route, at least a couple times a week, really seem to do a lot better (almost) everywhere.
I hope you will do really well and so glad to have you here!! Thank you for joining us!!

Everyone needs to remember, right now with the holidays everything is going to be a bit slow. Most everyone has their gifts for Christmas.
I'm hoping things will pick up starting in January.

Although the sales on WeBidz are nothing compared to eBay, sales and traffic have been constantly on the rise. You can see at the below url, where our traffic has increased by almost 300% in the last four months. Sales have gained a little over 200% in the last four months, with the majority of the purchases using the buy out option.

As far as I am concerned, we will never be where we need to be (regarding sales and traffic). As there will ALWAYS be room for improvement. But we will continue to grow, and sales will continue to increase. What usaquarterback says is very true, quality sellers and buyers is the major factor, and needs to be addressed as such. We have been very proactive regarding the quality of buyers and sellers on the WeBidz site, and have been taking steps to weed out as much riff-raff as possible. We do not utilize the eBay practice of "suspend now, ask questions later", but we do investigate ALL complaints and take action when necessary. We have higher expectations of sellers, as we consider them to be the "professionals". One bad seller could cause loss of sales to many other sellers. Without quality sellers, there will be no quality buyers.
If a quality buyer or seller has a positive transaction on WeBidz, chances are very good that they will be back. Now if that same buyer or seller has a negative experience on WeBidz, they will most likely not come back. We need to keep the buyers coming back! This means WeBidz staff providing customer service at 110%, investigating issues, providing resolutions, answering questions, providing needed updates to the site, etc. And sellers providing the best customer service, product and prices as possible. This combination is a win/win situation for all involved.
What Lana says above is also true. Forum activity is a strong factor in contributing to increased sales. One, there is more exposure for your products. Two, potential buyers can see what the seller is all about. Is the seller professional? Is the seller friendly? Can I easily communicate with the seller and ask questions? etc.
We have a great bunch of buyers and sellers on the WeBidz site already. We just need to continue going the direction we are headed, and grow this base of quality buyers and sellers. We appreciate all our members, and want you to know we would not be able to do it without you.
