View Full Version : WAM: Having problem loading pics

I am trying to load some of my products using WAM and a CD of pics and text. When I attempt to load, I am told by WAM that "path D:/picsandtext/1234 access is denied". Is this a problem with me or WAM. I have used it to load pics and text to eBay, and it worked. Not a big problem, just like the pics on the disk better.
Thanks,
Roz

until admin can get back to you. Can you download the pics on the disc to your computer and then on to the WAM?
It might be something until you can do it the way you want.

I have never done mine from CD..(now I need to learn that also!!) :D
Admin can help probably. I have always done all my stuff right from
'my documents>>my pictures':o Wish I could help.

It is not a big deal if I can not load from CD, just I like those pics better. I will wait for Admin to give his insight on this, while still listing other items. Have some bookkeeping work to do anyway, yuck!! Hate that part of this job.

I would think that you should be able to load from disc. What exactly do you have on the disc? Pictures and a spreadsheet? Is this a csv/excel import you are trying to complete?
I do not believe this has ever been tested from a disc, but we can test if you give us more details on the steps you are performing and what files reside where.

I am just trying to upload .jpeg file as pictures on my listings. I get the CD from my supplier. If you need more info, I will be here all day doing the bookkeeping part of this, as I want to get everything ready for the tax man. GRRRR!!
Thanks for your help,
Roz

I have looked into this further. When auctions are created and images allocated for each, these images are not stored within the program. So if portable devices were used to hold these images, it would cause a conflict if you later decided to edit the aution and the image was no longer there. Rather than having such conflicts, it was designed to only accept images on the local hard drive.
I would suggest creating a folder on your PC, possibly "xyzsupplier_images". Then copy all your pictures to that folder. Then you would be able to use those pictures without any issues.
I am sorry we do not have a better resolution for you. This is a functionality measure, to reduce problems when editing auctions at a later date.

Admin,
You are the best, I copied the file from the CD to my hard drive, and now it works. I have a couple of other problems, but one per day, as there may be others, I hope.:o
Thanks again,
Roz
