The site is REALLY slow. I had to post partial listings, then wait a day to make edits because I could not edit at the site the same day. I ended up having to entirely remove some and start over. Quite vexing. I gave up on some listings, and they are not actually what I wanted to leave on the site.

Must be something on your end because i use it to book auctions everyday and it's not slow!

There are times that the server load is fairly high, due to auction manager v1.49 and prior. If multiple users are uploading from this version, such slowdowns will be present. Over time this issue will be alleviated, as users upgrade to newer versions. There is no way for us to "turn off" this version, without affecting other versions. We are very sorry for this slowdown issue, or any inconvenience this has caused you. When you see such performance issues, you may just want to wait 30 minutes or so, then try again.

Bossman,,,,,,
You say that v1.49 and earlier in Wam is contributing to making the site slower?
Let's play like I am Not computer smart, Actually it's not play at all......
I have v1.48......I wouldn't mind doing the newest version but right now I have all my inventory backed up in 1.48.
From what I have read for some reason the "update" (which I don't even get a pop up for) has/is causing issues, however you can download fresh version with no clitches.
I guess the question would be, what do I do with my inventory?
Do I download the newest version of Wam first, then transfer all of my inventory to it before uninstalling 1.48?
Okay so my typing sometimes gets ahead of my thought process.......it would be easy enought to just get rid of v1.48 then download the newest version and then import all my auctions again.........DUH !!!!

If he means wam is slow then this is what i found out that works good for us James! Ours got slow a couple of times so each time we deleted a bunch of auctions off there and it speeded up fast both times we did that! Now i'm talking too that we had alot of auctions in there like 1500 to 3000 at the time! If he has just a few auction in there then this procedure we did will not help!

kat,
If you do not have templates you want to save, then updating inventory would work just fine to bring all your current auctions into a newer version. Otherwise you would want to back up your data in current version, then uninstall that version. You would then install the newest version, then restore from your previous backup. We do NOT recommend using auto update, as you will most likely experience issues.
mj,
What you are referring to is a local database slowdown. Some of this is addressed with newer versions, but this is not the slowdown I was referring to. What I was referring to in the earlier post is a site slowdown issue caused by 1.49 and prior. These older versions were not optimized very well, and can cause high server loads. The newer versions use very little resources, and enable hundreds of connections at once, where the older versions only allowed a few.
