Update from Inventory from Webidz Issue

Hello there,
I just installed version 2.05 and I am unable to download auctions information already posted on the site to the program import.

I am currently behind windows firewall and router firewall.
(Tested with windows firewall off and DMZ to my computer in the router and still not working)

Any communicated from the server to my computer on any specific port ?

If anyone could tell me which port I need to forward on my router for this software to fonction properly that would be great.

Hi Marcel,
Sorry I can't help you on this one, your about 6 stories above my head on techy stuff.
MJ or Elkaye are pretty good at this stuff. If they can't help, I'm sure Admin will be able to answer.

What kind of error are you getting when you try to download this information?

I am going to have to get with our programmers on this, as I am not sure myself. Hopefully I should have an answer for you later today.

-Start
-Connecting to remove server, connected to remote server.
-Start
Preparing to import
Importing item 1...
(2-3 sec later finish button gets clickable as if it was done importing items)


Then nothing have being imported, no error message.

Appears to have no test for error in this part of the program.


Looks forward for something to try to resolve the issue.

It evidently sounds like it is connecting, but failing to download. Are you able to download master data from the tools menu? Please send us your error log from the auction manager install directory, to admin@webidz.com.

The default install path is C:/program files/wam 2.05/ (This is assuming your hard drive is C). Then attach the error_log.txt file to your email to us.

If you have the french version of the operating system by default
Regional / language options is set to francais.

Then the program WAN won't be able to get information from webidz because of the 20.50 (DOT) not accepted for the currency.

This is very interesting and good to know. all you have to do is to switch from "francais" french to english and everything is then working properly.


Looking at the logs it was quite obvious.

I am glad this is working for you now. I have sent the details you provided to our programmers, so they can look into a resolution. This should work, regardless of the OS language.
