When you guys installed the auction manager, were the files unzipped before installing?

When them guys see your response they are both gonna say Dohhh!!!

Installing while zipped is a very common mistake, and will cause such issues every time. So I always like to ask that question first. We are looking into another method to provide the files to our members, to alleviate this issue in the future...

Did ya'all notice Lana's new title? She has been considered WeBidz Staff for quite some time now, we just never gave her the appropriate title.

Yes sir, I did the unzip, I did everything you told me to do in the instructions, until it came to download master file. That is when I get the incorrect login message. So do not understand.

About Lana's title, CONGRATULATIONS LANA!!!

Thanks,

Admin,

I have gone back to WAM 1.49. I had copied it to CD prior to deleting from my computer. So I deleted 2.05 and did a reinstall of 1.49. I will attempt 2.05 when I have more time to get it up and running. Right now I am trying to get my number of listing back in my store.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Admin..do you still have a copy 1.49? I lost mine when my computer HD crashed!
(maybe NOT good for me to go back wards (further:)) though, huh?)

LOL, Myra & John, you sweeties..I think I am the senior(age) here or just about..LOL, Admin is
OLDER..NO Nah..Just kiddin..he is a youngun!! :D

The title is no biggie, and as you can see, I am NO WAM expert, that is for sure!!

Thank you all and I hope you will continue to trust me to help, and just try to be a good friend
to all..Thank you to ALL the community leaders here (yep, there is about 6 or 7 of you that
make this forum what it is!)..you are so sincerely appreciated.(by EVERYONE)

Bless you! !

I did not intend senior to reflect age in any way. When it comes to the forum, I consider Lana to be the Top Dog. If you look up the definition of senior, one if the entries is: of higher or the highest rank or standing... That is the definition intended for this title. I am basically just a geek that provides tech support, thus my title of administrator.

To reiterate what Lana has stated, I would like to also thank our community leaders for their strong support. Without our Senior Moderator and our Community Leaders, the WeBidz community would not be what it is today.

We do not have older versions of WAM available. We are looking into what would cause connect issues, and expect to have a new release later this week.

I know there were a few peope that went to previous versions of WAM, because of issues with not being able to get the current version working... Are you one of the people using a previous version? If so, that is most likely the issue. In a previous version of WAM, if you saved your description while on the source screen, it would close and not save. So you would have to click the preview tab, then save your work.

I have no Native American heritage but my girls are about 25% (their real Dad).
I have great respect and love for the tribes and beliefs, but I have no claim
to ancestry..(sorta wish I did):)

Hey Boss, must have been posting at the same time, sorry..You know I will check that..
I am pretty sure that I was doing my corrections (referred to other sites and such) DIRECTLY
on the preview screen. I will check tomorrow after work.
Many thanks!!

I am running into the same login problem. I'm using 2.1.05, the latest version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I noticed WAM preference said the userId and password must match with the one on test.webidz.com. Just typo? or is it connecting to the test server?

toy,

We have found that there are sometimes issues installing, when the setup (installer package) is executed for install. Please uninstall the version you have now, then reinstall by executing the setup (application) file that shows a picture of a box with a CD in front of it. We understand that our current setup can be confusing, and we will be changing in the near future. Please let us know how things go for you.

Admin, I have loaded 2.10 to BOTH ~PCs..So far GREAT!! (I think) it is important after
all the instructions you give to (1) click the button with the CD in front FIRST, let that RUN
then click the other 'package' which looks like a tiny PC. I am going to test drive a new
auction from this PC, other already tested PERFECT!!
Thank you sincerely, Chief!! :D
