Wam setup and error code

I need help when I go to run the setup for wam I get an error code 2869, I am
running vista home premium, I have been trying for a week almost to get this
to work CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME SO I CAN START LISTIING...

This code is usually associated with UAC (user account control). Do you have this enabled? If so, do you have admin permissions to install programs? You may want to temporarily disable UAC, then try installing.

The path to this function varies with different computers, but should be something similar to what is listed below.

Control Panel>>User Accounts>>Turn user account control on or off

Glad that worked for you, if you have any other problems please feel free to ask for help. Admin is great, and so are a lot of the other members. We just changed over most of our PC's to Vista. Although the auction manager program worked for us with UAC on, there were many problems with other programs. So we had to turn this off as well. Although I like Vista, I think XP was better.

Did turning UAC off resolve your issues? We were supposed to have a new release by yesterday, but testing has not been completed yet. So it looks like Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully this next version will resolve issues, so members do not have to change settings on their PC's.

Boss, I want to ask you a stupid counding question. Do I turn off the one (even) that
says 'Lana-Admin' ? I told you stupid!! :D I had one that said 'guest', I shut it down as it
is never used..Hummmm, you know what I bet that was aproblem, becuase I did NOT
have any other accounts on my old PC!! :eek:

It should not matter what was on your old PC. You did a fresh install, right? You didn't just transfer the wam directory to your new PC...?

I would first try it with the changes you already made. Then if that does not work, try installing with UAC off for your admin user account.
