Has anyone else used WAM 2.10 yet?

I am curious if anyone else is having similar issues with the new version. I never got the WAM 2.05 to work for me, so went back to 1.49. WAM 2.10 seems to have some good points and some negatives.

1. When I enter my description, click source, then click save. I get the message "Template description is saved", I click the OK, then I assume that I am to click cancel to close the box.

2. I like to load a picture with no background for my gallery picture, I used to load it last, now I have to load it first. No biggy, just have to retrain myself.

3. When I choose "show new items" I don't get any items listed even though I have new and modified items that I want to add to the upload items tab.

Please let me know if it is just me, or possibly a problem with WAM 2.10.

I loaded it the other day! I just now tried to edit 2 items and send them to the site and had no problem! I even saved one for a template

You have to click X now to close the description window after save.
Have no clue about the other stuff.

LOL, I loaded 2.10-- 2 days ago on BOTH computers and it is doing PERFECT!!
You know when I lost my old 'main' PC, I was having trouble with lots of uploads.
This 2.10 is great for XP Pro!!

Don't do that Roz..after save in source panel, just X it out on top.

Hmmm...I still have WAM 1.49! When I open it, it prompts me to upgrade which I do, but it stays at 1.49. How do I get the latest version?

There is a drop down box at the bottom of WAM between "Add selected item to upload" and "Import item from CSV/Excel" buttons. There it is.

Did you uninstall 1.49 before trying to install the newest version? If you just try to install 2.10 while an older version is still installed, it will just attempt to repair your 1.49 version... which will most likely result in issues.

You may also want to try deleting your temporary internet files before downloading, as your system may be just pulling this from you previous download.

I downloaded it and like it (I usually don't care to use auction managers)
Don't delete an item from waiting to upload or you'll delete the listing from inventory too:) There is a "send item back to inventory" option

I'm getting all kinds of errors with 2.10. I uninstalled 1.49. Installed 2.10 and....

1. I try to fill out 'preferences' (username and password) and I get 'Operation must use an updateable query'. I try and download the master file anyway and of course, that doesn't work, because I'm unable to log in. :mad:

2. Sometimes when I open this screwball application, it asks me repeatedly to update...one update right after another...

Help!

I kept getting updateable query also, but I changed comps and now have windows vista,
I followed the link inside of this thread http://community.webidz.com/showthread.php?t=7782 (post # 4) and turned off the UAC.
Hope this helps. BTW, If this is your issue and turning off the UAC fixes it.....if you turn the UAC on again, you will have to turn it back off to be able to upload masterdata, and create/upload listings to the site.

These errors you are reporting are errors from older versions, which should not be present after updating. It sounds like some of the files are not updating when you complete your auto update. I have made some changes to the update files, so hopefully this will resolve your issues. Please try updating your version again from the tools menu, to see if this works for you.

When you updated from 1.49 to 2.10 did you completely uninstall the old and install the new? Or did you install over the previous version (aka repair)? There were some major changes from these version, which auto update would not work correctly. If you continue to experience problems, we would recommend uninstalling your current version, then installing the newest version (2.30) from the below link.

LOL, I tried to help Mimi last night and I forgot to ask her to do uninstall of all other
versions of WAM..sawwwy boss..:( From the point where she was was at (I guess
she had 2.1.0.46) I thought she just needed to verify sign in and download master data
(from file)
Question Boss, this 2.1.0 is working real good for me, should I switch to the 2.3?

Yes, I uninstalled 1.40 before installing 2.10. I tried updating and now it won't update at all. I'll uninstall 2.10 and try 2.30.

I've had Vista for awhile, now and didn't have to do that with 1.49 version. But hey, it's working now so I'm :)

Great......glad it worked.........now just remember to turn your UAC back on for the protection when not working in WAM......what I found is that while online, I have to turn the UAC off to even create listings......not sure about creating them while offline. Then when done, turn the UAC back on.

Our 2.31 version is due out for release shortly, and this is supposed to be able to run with UAC on. Testing so far has been working with UAC on, so it looks like this next version will be able to resolve some of the issues Vista users have with wam.

Boss, I hate to be a pain on this and sound like I'm impatient, but do you happen to know when that version will be out that works with the UAC on?
I don't mind turnin the UAC off to work in WAM but it requires a reboot for turn off and turn back on. Just can be a pain if you don't remember that.

It should be shortly, as we are testing this version right now. This version seems to be running fine, but we have found something that could possibly be an issue for some users. We are investigating this before releasing, to be sure we are not causing more problems. I would say tha this will most likely not be released until mid to late next week.
