I followed some advice received in another thread to add my store url to search engines. However, the current url won't let anyone know I sell baseball cards. Is there a way to change my url? Instead of using my user ID, maybe it could use my store name?

Phil,

I just made a post earlier today (which I have linked below), regarding submissions to search engines. We do not see a need for this, as we already get indexed quite often, plus we submit auctions to Google/Froogle.

I read your post and understand that you already submit all items with Buy Out, but what about the listings without buyout? That would be most of mine.

Yes, this is correct. Google Base/Froogle only accepts items with buy out, so submitting these may be beneficial for you. Our site is crawled multiple times daily, but sometimes auctions take a while to get indexed (but they will be indexed). Submitting all your auctions could prove to be very time consuming, and I would think building your store popularity would be better for the long run. What I mean by building your store is to get your store link popularity up, by making posts in blogs, forums or social networking sites. The more links for your store that Google finds, the more important they will see your store. The more important they see your store, the more they will crawl your store and the deeper they will go. By having more link popularity, your items will also place higher in search results.

If you spent the same amount of time promoting your store as you would submitting individual auctions, I am fairly certain you would receive much better results with store promotion.

I was not submitting individual auctions, I simply gave them my store url.
