I just uploaded this auction and for the 1st time I am including 2 images of the card, front and back. When preparing the auction, the first image I uploaded to WAM was the front, 2nd image the back. Obviously I want the front of the card to show in the listing, and for potential customers to have the option to also view the back if they open the listing. But, the system took the 2nd image and made that the image that the image that shows up. I went into edit it but my only option there is delete. Why can't I select which image should be the primary and which the secondary?

Glad to see that you are using that option, does not take much time at all to add the 2nd picture. Buyers like to see the item as many way as possible.

No, we do not have the option of which picture will be shown on the outside of the listing. You will need to do delete the pictures. When listing remember that the last picture listed is the one shown on the outside of the the listing.

Roz is correct........I have found that if you upload the pics in reverse order (i.e. back side first) your listing will come out like you want it.

WAM wasn't that way until this last update. Only site was. Apparently, Admin wanted some continuity between WAM and list from the site. I have had a tough time getting used to that change, but think that I have mastered it, the change.:rolleyes:

Thanks folks. I am still using the old version of WAM as well, cause I really don't wanna go thru the bother of uninstalling the old one and then downloading, unzipping, extracting yadda yadda yadda

Phil.. I NEVER had any good luck at all (since I got this new PC) with any of the old
WAM BL formats..I have XP Pro and man this 2.10 is working great for me..But I do
understand if someone has something that already works..I cannot understand why
it is doing that with the pics though..I think ADMIN has to look into it..

We have a xp pro too! The new wam works ok but i like the old version better!
This one here seems to take to long to load after you do a new item or modified it!
If we only keep say 1000 items in it it isn't to bad but more then that it is very slow!
Another bad thing is when you go into mod or new auctions and highlite them to go to the upload file you have to count them to make sure they all went as some don't! This has happen alot!
Or if you edit items and then go to the modified area sometimes all of them may not be there so we have to go back to the main page and give a click on one of them we modified and then we can go to modified page and it will be there!

I was not aware of this issue, and this is not how this is supposed to work. The am should be loading the first picture first. I am going to be passing these details to our programmers.

Are you saying that updating from 2.05 to 2.10 you started running into these issues? Or did you go from 1.xx to 2.10? Please let me know which version you are experiencing these issues with, so I can look into this further.

From 2.05 to 2.10
2.05 was just great and alot faster with alot of items! The items never disappered like they do on 2.10!
The day or day after you did the 2.10 i reported on here i reported on here my items were missing and i had to restart wam to get them back! In the mean while we took all of the wam off and reloaded it like new! When it's slow with alot of items in it we even went and named the data old and started with a new data!
It seems like about 1000 to 1500 item it' runs ok on speed! But the items still have problem reappearing in the modified area right of way! You have to go back to the main page and click on one of those modified items and then they all appear in the modified page

I remember this issue now... We tested in various environments for the missing items issue, but have not been able to reporduce this issue. I turned the details over to our programmers, to see if they could find anything. I am not sure if anything was found about this, but will shoot them an email. We are looking into options for better performance for larger local databases, and hopefully will be able to have a resolution before too long.

We usually do not provide older versions, as there are usually bugs that we want to get away from. Since 2.05 did not have any major bugs, we will provide a download for you (linked below).

M&J that is funny you said that, as I as well, was shown as a 'test user' EVERY TIME I
loaded 2.5! I think (not sure) that Roz may have experienced this as well..You know John,
you said you have XP-PRO as well (as us) could it be a OS thing?? Prolly not, I just wonder! :rolleyes:

Glad to hear you got it working...

What happens is their are various files in the install, and the default is the test credentials. During install, this test data gets overwritten with the WeBidz data... So it sounds like it may have been a faulty install. For others that may experience such issues, the below three factors are usually the culprit for such isues.

The three main factors that cause such are:

1) Installing while a previous version is already installed
2) Executing the larger of the two setup files. The setup file that should be used for install is the file that has a cd in front of a box. (this will be changed with the next release).
3) Installing while contents are still zipped. If you just click the zip folder and see what is in it, it is not unzipped. You have to manually extract/unzip the contents, usually by right clicking the zip file and choosing to extract.

I was extremely careful to do EXACTLY as instructed..worked PERFECT!! You know
me....spread sheets, bulk listers, etc..have never gotten along..:confused:STILL wish I could move
my old Turbo lister into WAM..! (I have all but like 50 on my alts now). because>>
BTW..folks IF you have items NOT moved from TL to your alternate sites..do so ASAP.
ebay is installing a special 'code' in TL that will only allow (fairly recent) ebay users,
to transfer data in/out of TL..NO this is not official yet, but I know it..a birdie at PSU
told me!!:rolleyes::D

With all the times we have loaded WAM! We have found out when you delete the old version! Run a Disk Cleanup too before you load a new version!
