Should mods be able to participate in contests?

STOP!!! Read this before voting...

We have some contests in the works, and was wondering what members thought about mods participating. Lana says that her participating would not be right, but I disagree with her...

I understand mods not participating in contests/promos that they have control of the outcome (like the last "give the boss an avatar" contest), they should not be able to win. But contests that use actual data that the mod does not have any control over should not disclude them from participating. As there would be no way for her to be able to manipulate anything, or know the outcome of anything.

So we will let the community members decide the outcome, via our little poll here. Please cast your vote and leave any comments about this here if you wish.

If the mods have no control or influence over the outcome of the contest, then yes they should be able to participate. They are buyers and sellers just as the rest of the community and deserve the right to participate. Just my opinion. :)

I agree completely with Kathy! If the mods don't have authority over the end result, why not?! Let's all play together! :)

As long as the mods cannot control the outcome in any way, I do not see any problem with them participating.

Well..Gotta be honest..I ONLY buy from ACTIVE forum members..They are my buddies
I talk to everyday, and feel I know them..I mostly buys 'smalls' as I have very small $$!!:D

At this point Mod is moderator ,,,, Admin and I (he does NOT participate) he is much too busy
changing the auction world and helping other people!! :p (we LUV him!!) I always check your
things..but too old for sports!! I keep checking and we sure appreciate you, Phil..Your sales are
gonna happen because you are a worker and a believer in what you do..That is a cool way to
be!! :D

We were just looking threw our books and seen that it was almost 11 weeks before we had our 1st sale on here! Lot more sellers and buyers on here know then it was a couple of years ago! Phil they'll come! Might be alot better when sports start up again too! Like Lana says your a worker at it!

LOL, we did NOT work hard the first 2 years, and had one sale..no FB recd. :D
However selling more now, it helps to be part of all forum activity, don' yah think??:)
