Hey Bossman,
Just sitting here thinking about my recent purchases on WeBidz.
The two horse rings that I purchased from pineacres, he was unable to put them on an invoice together, he had to send me 2 different invoices (each having a total) and a note to say what the total would be with combined shipping.
Then when I clicked the pay pal direct pay button (from one of the two listings in my won list), It took me to sign into my pay pal like it should, but I was unable to edit the dollar amount to send him. It only showed the amount to send him from that item.
I had to go directly to pay pal (not through the pay pal direct pay button) and put in his email addy and put in the dollar amount (combined total) to send to him.
What is the solution to fix that? A seller to be able to combine items onto 1 invoice to the buyer. And possibly have the direct pay button on the invoice itself.
Or are we just missing something during the create an invoice procedure?

Kat! It is up to the seller to have his paypal set to edit the dollar amount! I think it's under the profile as i member seeing it before! Then if the seller has that set the buyer can edit the amount

Hello, Kat..
Here is your answer..if you are using pay/pal. I already have my pay/pal prefilled invoices
done for each of my sites. Then when I get a multiple sale, (which is MOST of the time) I simply
list every item there at pay/pal with my numbers, price, title, etc., I put it the largest item's shipping
and add on a tiny amount for each extra item, if needed. It sounds hard, but is so easy! If you
have correct email addie, pay/pal will bill them. Now when I do RME, I figure before and bill from
there. It is EASY and you or your seller has a permanent record of transaction. Hope this helps.
This is the seller's job. I have had mine set up for many years. And this IS the detail. It does NOT
work correctly done DIRECTLY from MOST sites at this time.

I knew it was something simple but for the life of me my brain would not think of what it was...........
I had a buyer in Australia that I sold to....she was able to do direct pay from ebay, and change the dollar amount to include the extra shipping. But could not think of how to do it when I went to pay pineacres. So I just went to paypal directly and just sent it from that point.
He also said he was unable to edit the invoice to include both purchases, had to send an invoice for each ring. Any clues on that??? A single editable invoice for multiple purchases on the site would be great.....you would still have the permanent record of payment through paypal, google, RME, whatever you use.

Hey Kat:D.. I think I am understanding you correctly ..the only site I was ever able to combine
CORRECTLY with combined (reduced) shipping was Overstock.com and they were getting
huge..(at that time). It is a great advantage to both the buyer AND the seller to be able to accurately
combine the auctions. as yet, this does NOT seem to work onsite and I just go to pay/pal or RME,
or google, combine and send a very professional looking invoice. In the case of the seller and (pay/pal)
they also charge him/her more money for sending two or more invoices. They are like ebay and just
get folks comin and goin on money, huh??

Lana,
I'm talking the invoices from WeBidz. pineacres was not able to edit an invoice from here, and place two items on a single invoice. He had to send 2 seperate invoices, and could not combine the shipping. He did send me a message as to the total WITH combined shipping. And when I clicked on the direct pay from one of the listings, I could not edit the amount to send him.
I had to go to pay pal site, sign into my account and just put in his addy and then I put in the dollar amount to send him.

It would be nice to be able to edit the invoices, if a buyer buys more than 1 item, and only have to send 1 invoice. It would also be great if that edited invoice had the direct pay button on IT and we could click the direct pay from the invoice.

The invoices here look fine, if now we could edit them to combine items.
As it is right now, if I purchase 2 of your items, you will end up sending me (if you send them from WeBidz,) 2 invoices.
You going to paypal is just another step in the process, and the invoice that you send from paypal, does it have the direct payment, and the screen pops up with your name as the payee?
That is a nice feature that a single purchase here has, I don't have to type in a payee addy manually.

We are gonna have to ask the Cheif to get us one (here) that WILL allow us to correctly combine.
GREAT point, Kat!! :D

Invoicing from the site has many areas for improvement, which includes combining of invoices. Due to the amount and scope of changes needed, we will not be releasing any changes for this until our new platform. For now we strongly recommend those that have multiple sales to use the auction manager for invoicing, as it is much more user friendly. You can add/remove items from invoices, add tax, provide discounts, include paypal buttons, etc.

Lana,

We strongly recommend that you at least give the auction manager invoicing a try. I am sure you would love it and never invoice from the site again.
