Putting stores on "Vacation"

How would we go about putting a store on "Vacation".
I will be gone the first weekend in June (5-8)......I'm going on a 3 day cattle drive and will not be taking my laptop as we will be on horseback all the time.....I would like to just have my listings continue to run, but do not want to be presumed not an active seller if I do not respond to any possible questions or purchases. And if you sent email, I would not respond to it in the time limit, you would have set.
So for those that do take off out of town and do not take laptops with them, how do we go about letting people know we are on vacation and will be returning on such and such day?

With our current platform we do not have such an option. Are you able to set up autoresponders for your incoming emails? If so, you may want to set it up so everyone that emails you gets an auto response, detailing that you will not be available until xx date. If you do not have this option, you may want to get a free yahoo email account and set it up there. Then change your email for your account while you are away.

Yeah that and use your blog to let your customers know in advance the dates you will be gone.
Your blog can be a very useful tool for selling and keeping you're customers informed.
