Unable to list due to constant boxes popping up about security and when I try to load a photo it shows as broken. I should not be ask if I wish to continue on every action when listing. Are there some issues I should know about?

Not had any problems at all and have listed several items today. Maybe you need to lower your security settings a little in internet options.

Not sure lowering security is ever a good idea.

At least check it , there is a chance it got bumped up on it's on. There should be a way for you to set it so that this iste is on the "approved" list.

Uncles might have got bumped as he has listed on here for the last couple months now!
Our moderator just listed one too and works fine

That was not what the problem was. This was out of the blue. But thanks anyway. Security is something I take very seriously, play around on ebay - you will find out why. Seems to have stopped so I am not going to worry about it.

This sounds like you are on https pages, which should not be the case for the listing process. Did you happen to go to the listing page from a bookmark? or possibly do you remember the navigation method you took to get to the listing page? Possibly there is a link somewhere that is not taking the appropriate redirect to http. I have briefly looked into this, but it directed me to the proper http listing pages. I will check into this some more, but not for sure if I will find anything.

Was listing a simular item from one already listed when the problem happened. It was very strange when the photo would show as broken. I went to the selling tab and all auctions were missing photo's and had item numbers instead. That is when I left the site and returned later, all was well then.

That would definitely happen if you were on https pages, so this is most likely the culprit. I will go into the members area and try various things, including listing similar and see if I can find any bad links. If you ever see something like this again, look at the url... it will most likely show https.

Admin! Remember back awhile when i said i had auctions coming from Wam to the site and the reserve price was gone! Think i got it figured why! In wam if i have it set on Dutch Auctions instead of standard and have more then one and a reserve on it it will transfer to the site with no reserve because i have more than one and listed dutch!
Is there a way you can on your next wam update put a warnig that comes up saying Must choose Standard auction if have reserve and more than one to sell! Something like that! It is very easy to miss that setting in Wam and could cost me big bucks if the reserve wasn't there on a $200.00 item and start bid is at $29.00

Thanks

mj,

This issue actually has nothing to do with WAM. The site platform will actually not allow reserves for dutch auctions, as dutch auctions are intended to be used more as a buy out only type of format. It sounds like we do need to modify wam to not allow reserves for dutch auctions though... as sellers could think they are setting a reserve, when the site will not allow it.
