I have made it an habit to use Froogle or Google to search for my newly listed items on Webidz. Since this was mentioned on the homepage that Webidz cross promote auctions on Froogle and Google Base. I have noticed recently that Webidz is not showing on Froogle and Google Search Product. You may click on the Froogle link on the homepage and search for your listed item to see for yourself.
I have gone back to search my oldest listed items which I have seen using Froogle and Google Search Product before, but no luck. I was wondering if this is happening to just me or other Webidz sellers. Can somebody please look into this?

The searches were not showing up last week due to some illegal listings, boss fixed that and resubmitted and were showing again.
Now they are not again, Ill let boss know so that he can get to work on it again.
The problem is people are listing things that should not be listed and froogle/google will not run anyones on the site until those are removed.
Thanks for reporting, so that boss can get to work on it again.

I think we finally have everything worked out with Google. There were some auctions that were illegal, so we had to find and remove. We have resubmitted and Google is going to verify that the items have been removed, then allow our feed. So it should be up within 24-48 hours.
The feed issue my take a little longer to resolve though. We are in the middle of preparing for a server upgrade, so much of our time is allocated to this. We will work on the feed issue here and there, but it looks like this will require more time than he have available right now.

did show up just now, but mostly my forum work shows up..Admin here is the best, Joy and

Hey again Joy,
I am still NOT positive, But I do believe that it is replic*,Repr*, Frau*d*en* handbags, maybe coins etc.
I am using the * because these terms show up in search..we DON'T want that! :eek:
Admin is trying to remove sellers (who knowingly sell) such items, I believe.

Still no news when WeBidz will show on Google Product Search? There will be no sales unless buyers can search for a product and find us through WeBidz.

Hiya!
I been kinda worried about this myself. But remember they were working on getting all those bad listings off the site and then we upgraded the server. I'm sure Admin is still working with Google to get this resolved. We all want this to get back up quick. Just like he got the bulk lister up PDQ, I'll bet he works out the kinks with Google in short order too.
Let's cross our fingers and hang on. ;)

Just wanted to update everyone on the froogle feed issue. This was a continued issue with Google, where one item out of 70,000 could get our entire feed pulled. So all it took was a competitor submitting a report to get the entire feed pulled. Instead of contstantly stressing about finding the mystery item that was in violation, which resulted in many hours of lost time daily, we decided to stop submitting this feed. Instead we decided to start working on an individual seller feed, where members can make a couple clicks whenever they want to submit their items. This way it is the sellers responsibilty to ensure their items comply with Google policy, and others wil not be affected by one persons items. This update is almost completed, and we are hoping to have released within the next week. We will keep you updated...

I gave up on feeding to google base! We have done it for a long time and they never said anything about our Free Shipping in the title or describtion, and the phrase saying (If you can't find what your looking for, Let us know, maybe we can help) Now there saying that things can't be in there! So i told them this is how it is listed in my store and it fead write to you and i'm not about to edit 6000 items just for the base! So to heck with them! As far as i'm cocern they can follow the Bay down the sewer!

They are fairly picky on their feed. So as you say, it may not work for you. It will work for quite a few though, and that will mean overall buyer traffic increase which would benefit you and all in the long run.
The bays not going down, just changing their business model to not include the auction sellers of old.

That's wonderful news!!! :D I believe some other sites were having a similar interference issue as well. Odd, isn't it? Such a waste of intelligence. :rolleyes: I know every time I submit an updated feed for my store, I seem to get a rush within the week. :eek:

I started taking out the free shipping then i tried it and they refused it and told me have to take out the other statment said so i did a few of those too then they refused it again and said i had to take out (canada shipping is a little higher) Then i did about 50 of them then they said i had to many tabs or something so i took a few of those out and it was refused again! So i gave up! But then again it was still the month of August:rolleyes:

Unfortunately there are some that feel the only way to move up is to push others down. We cannot dwell on this, but rather figure ways around these obstacles and make us better for the long haul.
These feeds are a big boost, as it is much more targeted referrals. So it should be a great benefit to sellers that decide to use... and even those that do not will still receive residual effects, as the buyer base continues to build.

Is that in your shopping cart in your own store? Cuz I don't say any of that in mine. heh...I just describe the thing.
Does your shopping cart make the feed for you? Mine does. Will it do it for you? I download the feed from my cart and just upload it to googlebase.
Might be time for a new cart, darlin'. Too much frustration for you! :(

If it is a formatting issue, you will not have to worry when you submit through WeBidz. Regarding the others, I would not be able to tell you anything on that. I know they did not have any issues with your listings when we submitted our feed. I would just recommend at least trying it out when we get implemented.

No what it is angel is my one store that feeds there! I sell so many differant items from differant states that there is no way to set the cart to cover it! My items range from maybey $5.00 shipping to $900.00 shipping as i have some big items like 30'x40' instant garages that cost $900.00 to ship from CT to CA 2500 lbs! So the easyest way to do it is offer Free shipping so i state that on each item! I tried not to state it in the item and only at the cart but i would get a 100 emails a day asking how much shipping is!
But the funny part of it i've been doing it with google for a long, long time and they never said nothing

oooohhhh, ouch! That is a problem. Yours is a way bigger problem than mine was.
I sell for different companies that charge different shipping using different carriers. So I made a shipping chart and I charge by order total. That took me a few weeks to figure out, lemme tell ya. :rolleyes:
Then I made a shipping page for customers to refer to. This way they know ahead of time what shipping is. But as the store gets busier, I'm noticing more questions, so I'm gonna have to link to it from the front page and make them refer to it. :(

This is the best news I have had in 3 months. Please keep up the good work. We all waiting. If individual seller can post their own feeds, I think they will think twice before they list any item that will get them in trouble or suspension.
We all know there are evil forces out there trying to undermine the progress of WeBidz. They reckon WeBidz is becoming a big competition for them. Be rest assure that they will fail in big time.
Let's keep up the good work to achieve our ultimate goals.
