View Full Version : WAM 2.3 Installation Error Message

Admin,

I have now downloaded WAM 2.3 for the second time. I am getting the following message when I am installing the second part.

Error 1001. Exception occurred while initializing the installation.
System 10. FileNotJoundException. Clould not load file or assembly
file.///C:\WINDOWS\system32\Files\WeBidz' or one of its dependencies. The system
cannot find the file specified.

I have been trying to get some edits done, uploaded to site, then back downloaded from sight to backup my auctions before the new server installation this weekend.

Yes I deleted all previous versions from my computer, I am running Windows XP. Sorry for the bother, but am at my wits end with modern technology. :confused:

When you say you are installing the second part, what are you referring to? Are you talking about .NET Framework? Could you send us your error_log.txt file that is located in your WeBidz Auction Manager install directory?

If you continue to have problems, please feel free to try the 2.1 version (linked below).

Sorry Admin, don‘t know what my tech stuff, I was installing the SETUP Windows Installer Package. Can you tell me where to get the error_log.txt file, exactly. Don’t know wherethat is, sorry I am the “computer tech dummie” remember.

Had lots of problems with WAM 2.1, so that is why I went and downloaded 2.3. Trying to do edits and it seems to delete pics, and double my auction.

Sorry Admin,
I uninstalled then did just as I have in the past. I kind of did the split screen with your instructions right beside my work. I got it up and running now, someday I will learn. I promise.

I kept my mouth shut, as I have not tried that one yet, and the WAM I have is
working great for me..(sawwy I was no help, Rozzie):p

Yal know.. I can 'break 'em' also..so I am on 2.1 to stay for a while! :D

Great, I'm glad it worked for you. Did you install 2.1 or 2.3?
