We have made some changes to the home page layout, mainly for the displaying of featured stores. Now there is four featured stores that are randomly displayed on the top center of the home page. Not all featured stores will be displayed here, please read below requirements.
Stores must be a featured store, with 10 or more items, a store graphic, and a store name. If a store meets these requirements, they will be automatically displayed in a random rotation. We are placing this limitation to keep stores that we deem as "under construction" from displaying on the home page. Featured stores that do not meet these requirements will still be displayed on the top of all store browse pages.
Tips to make your store stand out:
The default graphic size that will be displayed for your featured store will be 160x80 pixels. So uploading an image for your store in this size, or the same aspect ratio will keep your store image from distorting. You can always display more images on your store pages with html, but your uploaded store image is what will represent your store on various site pages.
The text that describes your store in the featured boxes uses the first 100 characters from your stores "about us" page. So if your first 100 characters is html code, this code will be stripped and your featured description will not contain any text. So we recommend entering a small blurb of text at the start your about us page, before entering any html.
