New Game: Name another Tune
You name a song and the next person will pick a word that corresponds to another song, such as:
Twisting USA---Born in the USA (added by the next person)
You get the idea, see how many song titles we can come up with.
OK to the person that does the best at this..
A LARGE points award (a undisclosed amount:))
1 extra point award if you can give the correct artist and year it came out!!
We are gonna play it until next Sunday night. (July 5th) If you are ACTIVE (does NOT mean post 1 time)
in this thread..you will receive bonus points weather you are the winner or not!
One absolute rule!! You do not use smallest word..like if/and/or etc..you use main word or word
choice to make the next song title. (can NOT make up 'fake' titles)

OK, going to give this a shot Lana, not sure I really know what I am doing, but here goes: ;)
Born in the USA I know that Lee Greenword sang this in about 1990>>> A Star is Born - Barbara Striesand sang it in the remake in the 70's, Judy Garland in the earlier version I think in the '50's.

Born in the USA... GREAT rozzie..but give me a song from word or words of:
Born in the USA >>(like) God bless the USA
God bless the USA >>
(Lee Greenwood top country charts-2000)
You don't have to put artist and year, it is just more
points!! :D
Roz!!
Thank you SO much for getting us started!!:)

God Bless the USA -- God Bless America
Lana,
Can we use any word in the title given (except the small words you already mentioned, or do we use a specific word, for example: first or last?
This is the answer I gave previously, am not good at music, so this one may stump me. :o
OK, going to give this a shot Lana, not sure I really know what I am doing, but here goes: ;)

I THINK my favorite version of BLUE MOON was THE PLATTERS
IN 1959 ??Do you remember..anyway..The fabulous lyrics!!
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y187/lana-country/A-ICONS-GRAPHICS-MORE/animhand.gif
Blue moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue moon
You knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me
And when I looked to the moon it turned to gold
Blue moon
Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me
And when I looked to the moon it turned to gold
Blue moon
Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
without a love of my own
Blue moon
Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
SOOO my offer is:
Blue Suede Shows >> BLUE MOON
( I CAN remember ALL the lyrics!) :D

This is separate a reply for Lana I remember the doo wop version by the Marcels of blue moon from the early 60's, My older brothers had records (45's) stacks of them and 78's and we spent a lot of time listening to them. TV was The Mouseketeers, Roy Rogers & Dale Evans, The Lone Ranger, Ozzie & Harriet (I had the biggest crush on Rickie) But like you my sisters and I mostly listened to music from my brothers records. It was a fun time with our baby doll pajamas and learning to dance around the mid 60's or trying to. The songs were really beautiful back then with Frankie Avalon, Paul Anka, Elvis, and many many more.
Now for the game Lana's >> Days of Wine & Roses >> my choice to use the word Days from her title to come up with Those were The Days sang by Mary Hopkins late 60's I think.
Song went Those were the days my friend, we'd thought they'd never end

Those were The Days ~~Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer -Artist: Nat King Cole 1963
(remember that one Bumps?) :p
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer
Just fill your basket full of sandwiches and weenies
Then lock the house up, now youre set
And on the beach youll see the girls in their bikinis
As cute as ever but they never get em wet
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Youll wish that summer could always be here
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer
Dont hafta tell a girl and fella about a drive-in
Or some romantic moon it seems
Right from the moment that those lovers start arrivin
Youll see more kissin <wolf whistle> in the cars than on the screen
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Youll wish that summer could always be here
Youll wish that summer could always be here
Youll wish that summer could always be here

WOW Zane..we are on the same page with MUSIC!! GOOD job!!
In the corner of my mind stands a jukebox
It's playin' all my favorite mem-o-ries
One by one, they take me back
To the days when you were mine
And I can't stop this jukebox in my mind.
I don't need no quarters, don't need any dime
You filled it up forever
When you said good-bye
Heaven knows I love old melodies
They were meant to ease the pain
But the kind that's playin' on my mind
Are drivin' me insane.
In the corner of my mind stands a jukebox
It's playin' all my favorite mem-o-ries
One by one, they take me back
To the days when you were mine
And I can't stop this jukebox in my mind.
Song by song, those melodies
Were meant to ease the pain
But the kind that's playin' on my mind
Are drivin' me insane;
In the corner of my mind stands a jukebox
It's playin' all my favorite mem-o-ries
One by one, they take me back
To the days when you were mine
And I can't stop this jukebox in my mind.
