Default Watch out for "Vista Anti Virus 2012!"

watch out for this fake anti virus. It is actually a virus. It's called, "Vista Anti VIrus 2012." Do not click yes or even no if and when you get this unfortunate virus. Plug off ur computer immediately if u get it, then turn ur comuter back on in "safe mode with networking" and then delete all your cookies, history, registries, etc...

You might want to use system restore point too to restore ur computer settings to a time before ur computer made contact with virus.

Angry Re: Watch out for "Vista Anti Virus 2012!"

I had this awful virus. It wouldn't even let me get to System Restore. It destroyed all my file extensions and I couldn't open any programs. I could still browse the internet, so I searched and found a program download that restores file extensions. It cost $10, but well worth it as the only other option would have been to take the computer in to a repair shop. That would have cost much more in money, time lost and hassle.

Default Re: Watch out for "Vista Anti Virus 2012!"

I was also hit with a virus that Killed my computer last fall. I do not remember the name, but it had the word "cloud" in it, but it also pretended to be an anti-virus and automatically installed itself on my machine. The worst thing about this is that I did not download it and I had my McAffee running.

I finally had to buy a new computer, and while I should not be moaning over a loss of a 9 year old computer which I certainly got my use out of, What bothers me is that it was able to get into my computer even though it was protected with a virus program and I do not know how it got in to begin with.
